A deft but jejune NDC propaganda piece – Part 1

M Ahaz President John Mahama

I am quite certain that the article captioned “Bring Back Afoko and Others or Forget About Me – Agyepong” Peacefmonline.com / Ghanaweb.com 8/5/16) is a hatchet factional insider job commissioned by some National Democratic Congress’ operatives.

For although sourced to Peacefmonline.com, the article reads strikingly as if it was lifted from one of the trashy issues of the Bature-owned Al-Hajj newspaper. It is amateurishly written and poorly edited and cluttered with the names of the usual Akufo-Addo nemeses, such as Dr. Nyaho Nyaho-Tamakloe, Dr. Charles Wereko-Brobbey and the Idiot-of-Irmo, South Carolina, of late re-designated as the Cretin-of-California (aka Dr. McHypocrite).

It has absolutely no credibility whatsoever. To be certain, I could have added one or two more names, but I guess the three preceding names will suffice for the handful of issues that I intend to raise in this article.

Dr. Wereko-Brobbey has reiterated time and again that he has never been a Danquah-Busia-Dombo aficionado, and that it was his maternal uncle, Mr. Victor Owusu, the renowned lawyer and presidential candidate of the erstwhile Popular-Front Party, that was the runner-up in the 1979 presidential election, that cajoled him into trucking with the leaders of the New Patriotic Party NPP).

And to be certain, the man popularly called “Tarzan” has never been a significant force in the NPP, not even when former President John Agyekum-Kufuor ruled the proverbial roost.

Indeed, avid students of the Ghanaian political scene may readily recall Dr. Wereko-Brobbey’s having founded his own political party to gun for the presidency, and then returning to the NPP, tail tucked in-between his legs like a disappointed canine, when it became patently clear that going solo would not get him anywhere significant or meaningful.

He would be rudely awakened to the fact that among the electorate and the general Ghanaian public, he was not nearly half as significant as he had narcissistically presumed himself to be.

And while President Kufuor would generously help him to remarkably boost his résumé, it cannot be credibly argued that the former Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Volta River Authority (VRA) had acquitted himself any creditably in the playbook of the proverbial “Gentle Giant.” Tarzan would shortly be fired from the VRA for fiscal incontinence and be promptly granted a comfortable sinecure that time constraints do not permit me to delve into.

For his part, according to a conjugal nephew of his who e-mailed me some juicy tidbits about the former Ambassador to the Balkans quite a while back, Dr. Nyaho-Tamakloe is an impudent dead-beat dad who never practiced the medical trade in which he was trained for any remarkable temporal span.

He is a dead-beat, we are told, because he never fully participated in the upbringing of his own children, both on the financial and emotional fronts. Instead, he chose to callously dump their children on his wife, a clinical pharmacist, who literally played both mother and father to the young ones.

According to my source, one of the Von Fleischers, the man owns a blown-up giant portrait of Mr. Ibrahim Mahama, the younger brother of President John Dramani Mahama, which he has hung on one of the walls of his living-room and to which he genuflects and salutes from dawn to dusk, day-in and day-out.

As far as any of my reliable sources can attest, Dr. Nyaho-Tamakloe was never a formidable force to reckon with in the New Patriotic Party, not even when his prime benefactor occupied the old Danish slave fort, mischaracterized as a castle at Osu, Accra. In sum, the man is thoroughly bereft of integrity.

As for the Idiot-of-Irmo, South Carolina, lately also nicknamed the Cretin-of-California, there is not much to remark about the mumps-faced mole who was planted in the NPP by the movers-and-shakers of the National Democratic Congress, and once plagiarized a quip made by the NDC General-Secretary, Mr. Johnson Asiedu-Nketia, into the title of his kiss-and-tell book called Chasing the Elephant into the Bush.

He is easily the most desperate and disappointed back-stabbing political opportunist among the three reprobate characters listed above and briefly discussed herein. There is a seamy aspect to his character that almost everybody who has come into intimate contact with him has not failed or hesitated to comment upon.

And it is that at parties and other festive social gatherings, he can be seen with his wife and two daughters scrambling for food, porcine fashion, almost as if they grew up during the Great Depression or perhaps in one of the poverty-drenched Sahel enclaves of the West African sub-region.

The Idiot also clearly appears to have answered the wrong calling, by way of professional choice. A pathetic and congenital buffoon, his kind of genius has been known by geneticists to occur once every five or six generations.
