A neo-colonial state apparatus could not support a revolution - Part 2

Sun, 7 Aug 2016 Source: Sagareparee, Clement

Fomer President Rawlings told Mr. Kobby Asmah, the political editor of the Daily Graphic that the late President Nelson Mandela was fighting Apartheid in South Africa and our revolution was fighting Neo-Colonialism. According to Rawlings, the Neo- Colonial struggle is not over. The people cannot afford to lose the dignity and strength of their integrity. You need it to continue the struggle against neo – colonialism and the destructive effect of Bribery and Corruption. Now, Corruption is in its worst form in the body politic today 2016, and yet we claim to be fighting it. Again, Neo –Colonialism has also come to stay in the body politic of Ghana and yet we claim to be fighting it. With which group will Rawlings use to fight neo colonialism in Ghana now that he is no more Ghana’s President? Neo – colonialism walked over Rawlings in 1983 when he was a Military Head of State and the Chairman of the PNDC and he had to swallow its bitter pills against his will in order to revive Ghana’s economy which means that, no poor nation like Ghana can rise up to fight neo – colonialism led by the United States of America – It was only Cuba and Lybia under the late Col. Gaddaffi who fought neo – colonialism and conquered it. China also conquered neo – colonialism as well as Russia and the Republic of Iran and Iraq under former Prez. Saddam Hussein who was hanged by Britain and America for no offence committed in 2003. Again, they organized NATO forces to violently overthrow Col. Gaddaffi and finally slaughtered him and put his dead body openly in a fridge and described him as a MAD DOG. Forgetting that we have two MAD DOGS in Britain notably Tony Blair and David Caueron, and another two MAD DOGS in the United States namely George W, Bush Junior and Barack Obama popularly called the “American Drone President” who killed thousands of people by using Drones throughout Africa

Behind every successful Man, there is a woman so, how can Rawlings claim to be fighting neo – colonialism whilst his wife is supporting neo – colonialism by forming her own political party which she knows cannot win the 2016 elections only to support the violent prone NPP which represent neo – colonialism in Ghana?

Nana Konadu Agyeman Rawlings FIELD 154, Parliamentary candidates of her “National Democratic Party” in the 2012 general elections but NONE of the 154 candidates had a REFUND of their deposits because no one had the required twelve and half percent(12?(1/2)%) of votes cast in their various constituencies nationwide. You see, Natural Justice demands that THOSE WHO TOIL, must share the proceeds FROM THEIR LABOUR. This has been the source of cry for social justice which Rawlings began articulating long ago. Now, May I ask the Rawlingses just two questions. (1) When members of the June Four Movement organized Ghanaian’s for 2?(1/2)years to support a Revolution that would be launched and the 31st December Revolution succeeded, what reward did Rawlings give to the June Four Members including this writer? ANSWER: NOT A PIN, NIL.

(2) Members of the June Four Movement again joined the Committees for the Defence of the Revolution (C.D.R.’s) from 1982 to 1992 and beyond that until the year 2000 when Rawlings finally left office what were their rewards? Answer: NOT a Pin. Nil – as cadres were asked TO TAKE THE REVOLUTION WHILE THEY TAKE THE MONEY, To add insult to injury, Nana Konadu Agyeman Rawlings allegedly built a War Chest with the ex-gratia awards of cadres and then used that money to form her National Destruction Party (NDP) which will never win the 2016 general elections scheduled for 7th November 2016. Neo – Colonialism is against Social injustice, it support economic hardship and support the cancer of corruption that has eaten deep into the fabric of society. So with what and who will rally behind Rawlings to fight neo – colonialism since he failed to fight neo – colonialism when he was in power for 19 years. Now, that he is out of government and have no Executive power, how on earth can he fight neo – colonialism that had been entrenched since the Gold Coast era even before he was born in Ghana? Since 1966, Ghana has had varied forms of military interventions. The Colonels jumped on the notion that sovereignty resides in the people and therefore seized power in the name of the people but in no time the leaders lost touch with the people. Their feelings and sentiments is quite different from those of the people – Neo Colonialism had crushed those soldiers even though they had good intensions to redeem Ghana’s image.
