A poem for Professor Kwabena Frimpong-Boateng: a True Achiever

Achievement is following the desires of your most authentic self; not merely satisfying the shallow impulses of your ego.
The vast majority of achievements that come to life every day are quiet and peaceful and immensely fulfilling. Do not confuse true achievement with meaningless spectacles that make a lot of noise but have no lasting value. In the smallest moments there is the potential for great achievement. For what true achievement is, is living with purpose and love, with thankfulness and joy.
Remember always that achievement is more than merely constructing great edifices. The most valuable achievement is building a meaningful life that makes a positive contribution.’’

TEN REASONS WHY Prof. K. FRIMPONG-BOATENG IS THE BEST MAN BEST UNIFIER:
He is the best man to unify the Party and the country. Can you imagine the scenario if any of the former ministers win? Imagine how the party will fare under, say, any former minister’s victory and compare it to a Frimpong-Boateng victory. DO NOT SPLIT THE PARTY by voting for any former minister! They have had their turn. They had all the opportunity in the world to make a difference. Yet what did we see??... The value is the same. Please; think of the future; put the party, and indeed, the country first; and select Prof. Kwabena FRIMPONG-BOATENG, the best neutral candidate!
A REFRESHINGLY NEW FACE:
He is the best man outside of this government to lead the NPP and take Ghana to the next level. It is high time we select someone who is experienced but not necessarily a career politician to be at the helm of affairs. He will bring a completely new dimension to the leadership of this country. Let this be the beginning of what I will term – the Ghanaian Dream – the way the Americans know theirs. Let us reward hard work, humility and patriotism by giving the mantle to Prof. K. Frimpong-Boateng. By so doing, we will all help make Ghana the land of opportunities.
FLOATING VOTERS:
He is the best among the lot to attract the largest number of floating voters.
The NDC is in a fight for their very existence. The man you select therefore matters. Will you risk selecting any former minister? Or you will settle for Mr. CLEAN – Prof. Kwabena FRIMPONG-BOATENG?
MR. CLEAN - ‘NE HO SONN’ – This must be Prof’s SLOGAN:
Prof. K. F-B comes with no baggage; not even a perception! He has no record of bribery and corruption. He has no spiders in his cupboard. He can come boldly with his chest out. A vote for him will effectively neutralize the NDC, and deliver the coup de grace – the final nail that will seal the NDC’s fate. Think about that.

Prof. Kwabena Frimpong-Boateng has in his entire professional career served his fellow men. Apart from his job as a heart surgeon; please have a look at the charities and other interests he is involved in:

Patron – Old Footballers Association of Ghana
Patron – Suame Magazine Industrial Development Organization (SMIDO)
Secretary – Centre for Technology-driven Economic Development. (The President of this group is Engineer Robert Woode, with other notable members including Kenneth K. A. Jackson, Dr. Mensah Otabil, and the late Onua Amoah of blessed memory.) He is indeed a BORN LEADER

TRACK RECORD AS AN ACHIEVER:
World-renowned heart surgeon
Established Ghana’s Cardio-Thoracic Centre Accomplished industrialist and farmer, etc.
A VERY COMPETENT & SKILLFUL LEADER:
Nothing is wasted in his house. He himself designed the Cardio-thoracic centre and together with the artisans; they built it. Whenever he could not get a driver for whatever reason; he himself drove trucks that carted the machines that were installed at the Cardio-centre. That’s practical leadership!
PATRIOTIC:
He is obviously the most patriotic among the NPP aspirants. None has sacrificed more than him for Mother Ghana. All he had to do was to decide to stay abroad; and the rest would have been history. He loves his party and country dearly.
A MAN OF CHARACTER & INDEED PURPOSE:
He is bold and speaks the truth. Prof. believes in discipline and order. He believes in the rule of law. He is a family man. He is kind and compassionate. For instance, he built a compound house in Korle-bu to accommodate 16 retiree labourers who had no where to go. He is principled. CONCLUSION:
Prof. Kwabena FRIMPONG-BOATENG has demonstrated commitment and compassion. He has demonstrated using his personal resources – his numerous talents, his time, energy and indeed, money - to build Ghana. By the nature of his profession; he had to be careful when to be a partisan politician. But the time is now!
Dear delegates; this is the least we can as a nation reciprocate. Let us reward his exemplary compassion and patriotism by selecting this genius of a leader as NPP’s flagbearer and indeed, Ghana’s next President. Please put Ghana first in this election on Dec 22, 2007. All of Ghana and indeed, the entire universe are waiting for the announcement of Prof. Kwabena FRIMPONG-BOATENG as NPP’s flagbearer.
