Is yet another month of May and the time has come to celebrate our mothers once again,I ask a times ask myself if we should have only a day in a year to celebrate our mothers?Mothers should be celebrated every second and minute due to their tremendous roles they play in our lives from our crawling days to our independent days.

Many people might have their own perception about mothers, some don’t even want to hear the names of their mothers due to some dire circumstances which can never be erased from their memory,

As we celebrate mothers day this week,I will like to tell my mum she is a real Heroine!Back to my topic,my dad joined the heavenly choir when I and my siblings were very tender below the ages of thirteen years. The onus came to lie upon my dear mum to raise three children single handedly with no support from any relative.

Many thought she was going to fail and her children were going to be wayward, but the poor and young widow stood her grounds and trained us as a father and as a mother.

Being a single parent in our part of the world is hell, but with the grace of God my mother was able to do it.She always pride herslf with our good behaviours and a time thanks us for not disappointing her.

It gets to a time, when we take bread and water as our supper and a times cooks rice without any sauce, all this while I thought this woman will abandon us and go her way,but she didn’t give up in training us Morally,Godly,Self independence and being Contentious.

A single and bold parent she was trough all this years, after JSS,she had to go find my admission and did the same for my brother.Atimes people ask me wheres is your Dad and I say there she stands! a real heroine she has been all this trying years.

If any one says it’s not easy to be a single partent and particularly,a woman please tell the person my mum did it through hard times and the Lord was with her.

I am always proud to be a product of a single parent and a woman to be precise.I thank Charles Kojo Fosu a.k.a DL for her Onyame Nhyira Mma tack.

Many people doubt me when I say we were trained by our mum.

I have come a long way and owe it all to my mum.I will also take this platform to wish all mothers especially single mothers a HAPPY MOTHERS DAY.

I will always say that,Madam Cecilia O.Owusu a.k.a Nana Yaa is an Angel.

HAPPY BLESSED MOTHERS DAY TO ALL MOTHERS.
