Nana Akuffo-Addo floors President Dramani Mahama at the IEA Presidential debate

Bravo to the old but most politically mature and experienced presidential contestant, Nana Dankwa Akuffo-Addo alias "Obuggie". He proved to the young, but politically inexperienced caretaker-President Mahama, that old age is an indication of wisdom much as grey hair acquired through old age is a repository of wisdom.

Doing politics is not all about womanising where if it was, among the four contestants at the Institute of Economic Affairs (IEA) debate, President Mahama could have won the debate and the presidency outright. Success at elections and in politics is not measured in terms of the number of women or men one has slept with or bedded. The NDC sycophants and President Mahama should get this message right.

Winning political elections or debates is about the ability to communicate your policies to the electorates as honestly as you can. One has to be truthful, know what he is about, and explain his policies convincingly to the targeted electorates. One must be visionary, charismatic, dynamic, selfless, and respectful and be respectable, and very dedicated to duty.

Politics is not an arena for acquiring ill-gotten wealth. It is not where to lord it over the governed. Being a politician or the President is a call to serve the citizenries sincerely diligently. In this one sense, President Mahama was caught off gear by Nana Akuffo-Addo's answer to a question posed about the healthcare of the citizens of Ghana and how he could better the healthcare delivery to the people. He queried the rational behind John Dramani Mahama sending 250 Ghanaians to Cuba for training to become medical practitioners, nurses and technicians at exorbitantly inflated cost. Just a fraction of the money the Cuban government is charging Ghana could have gone into training the 250 persons in Ghana. President Dramani was compelled to exercise a rebuttal intended to correct the figure Nana had quoted as the charge to Ghana government per one person (GHC50, 000). President Mahama said Nana was confused as the figure only stands at US$5,000 per person. Nana then referred him to the official declaration issued by his own Minister which he said, was also all over the Internet. President Mahama had to eat back his words, awash in shame.

When big minds speak, small minds have their heads spinning because they can hardly comprehend the message the wise man is putting across. This is the very blow Nana Akuffo-Addo delivered to President Mahama. The heat of the questions and the intelligent answers delivered by Nana and Dr. Sakara again obliged President Mahama to lick back his own vomit, thus, words. On the question of free Senior High School (SHS) education, President Mahama was as again confused as someone who has been punched in the head unexpectedly with the subsequent instantaneous sufferance of dizziness. He finally accepted free SHS education is feasible but needs sometime to implement. Are we to implement it after all the NDC persons have plundered the national coffers to satisfy their insatiable greed?

President Mahama is one of those little minds who cannot manage Ghana properly. He has no vision for the country. Ruling a nation is not just about presiding over fraudulent payment of judgment debts to dubious characters. It is not about being pompous, seeing cocoa farmers and their offspring as inferior. It is not about involving in dubious contract arrangements where you stand to profit personally. It is all about having a vision, being incorruptible and selflessly implementing policies that will enhance the individuals and the nation as a whole. It is about genuinely being at the service of your people and nation. This is exactly what Nana Dankwa Akuffo-Addo, my preferable "Obuggie" stands for.

On 30th November 2012, both Nana and Dr. Abu Sakara will give President Mahama a bruising face at the second round IEA presidential debate. Subsequently, they will show him (President Mahama) the exit out of the presidency on 7th December 2012 regardless what the Electoral Commissioner does in attempt to rig the election in his favour. .  Lest I forget, Mahama Ayariga of PNC was just there to entertain the audience. He was simply a Confused.com criticizing the free SHS and following President Mahama through and through. What a situation of the blind man leading another blind man. They will end up both falling into a pit.

I say, Bravo to both Nana Akuffo-Addo and Dr. Abu Sakara. I call on all Ghanaians who are desirous to see a change in their life for better to vote for Nana Akuffo-Addo and the NPP come December 7, 2012.

I will make sure not even "Anomaa ba" from Asiampa votes for the NDC and caretaker-President John Dramani Mahama on December 7, 2012. They will make me proud on that day by voting 100% for Nana Akuffo-Addo and the NPP. My sheep know me, and they hear my voice.

Asiampaman, here I come, be proud of your Son of the soil! It is time for me to stand up tall to be counted. It is also time for all of you to show you are intelligent and have the collective welfare of Ghanaians and Ghana at heart by voting out the NDC thieves from office. We have talked the talk. Let us all walk the walk as sensibleGhanaians aspiring diligently to achieve middle-income status for Ghana now but not after twenty years as opined by the visionless NDC government and party.
