The thrice defeated NPP presidential candidate, Nana Akufo-Addo is reported as saying that he is going to seek the face of God on his political future. You may be wondering why I stated that Akufo-Addo is thrice defeated, but here is why. He was defeated by President Mills in 2008 and twice by President Mahama in 2012 and in the Supreme Court in 2013.

We all know that Nana Akufo-Addo does not even go church but he has paid and surrounded himself by some prominent church leaders who occasionally do his political biddings for him. Therefore, his comment that he was going to seek the counsel of God concerning his political future is nothing but pure empty politics.

Nana Akufo-Addo knows very well that he is a political spent force and that there is no way he will ever become the President and Commander-in-Chief of the Ghana Armed Forces of mother Ghana.

Apart from that, Akufo-Addo is also aware that there are so many prominent NPP members who are waiting in the wings to try their very best shot at the party’s flagbearership; therefore, he is not going to have an easy walkover like he had done previously.

Just add that Akufo-Addo is also looking at his dwindling pocket as his financiers will be hard to find this time round as most of them have thrown their huge fortunes into his hat which has drawn nothing positive so far.

That is why Akufo-Addo told the world that he was taking a break from politics after his concession speech following his disgraceful defeat at the Supreme Court on the 2012 Election petition case which got a stranglehold on the whole nation for eight months.

You should therefore not be fooled into believing that Akufo-Addo is a man of God because he is not. He is very well known for dabbling in occultism and other things that are at variance with what the Bible teachers.

But strangely enough some so-called men of God, who stand to gain if Akufo-Addo ever becomes president, are the ones who have turned a blind eye and following him blindly due to their stomach sake.

Nana Akufo-Addo should not fool anybody because if God was on his side he would have been President years ago. Perhaps one thing that Ghanaians need to know is that on the higher political side, Akufo-Addo has always been a loser.

Akufo-Addo broke from the UP party then Popular Front Party and formed the United National Convention with his uncle William Ofori Atta (Paa Willie). In the elections held on June 18, 1979 Paa Willie won only 17.4% of the presidential vote and just 13 seats in parliament. This is Akufo-Addo who now claims that “Yenim wo firi tete”. Akufo-Addo just like Alan Kyeremanten has left the UP tradition before.

In 1996 Election Akufo-Addo battled JA Kufuor for the NPP flagbearership and lost. He then bounced back and had he not used some unorthodox means he would have even lost the 2008 flagbearership of the NPP. But Akufo-Addo went on to lose the general elections in 2008 and topped it up with another loss in 2012. The icing on the cake was the Supreme Court petition case which he lost less than two weeks ago.

Therefore, if you are talking about elections to higher office in Ghana, Akufo-Addo has been losing candidate, who has nothing credible to show apart from winning thrice in parliamentary contests. I believe that it would be better for him to leave God out and stay in his corner because apart from believing in his ego Akufo-Addo does not believe in anything else.
