They are both over 70 years of age with time running out for them as far as their obsessive and divisive political careers are concerned. They are both very intolerant and falsely believe that people must worship them. They easily get angry when intelligent people question their actions, motives, and thoughts.

Indeed, they are both on the top tickets of their political parties and apart from having the same political symbols, their political colours are the same. I must add that, these two individuals, who believe they are right in whatever they do, were born with silver spoons in their mouths.

Anybody who follows or have been following the political events in Ghana and the United States will easily know that, I am talking about no other persons than Ghana’s NPP presidential candidate, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and the US Republican top ticket Donald R. Trump.

How these two intolerant individuals ended up having the same political mentality and swagger amazes many, but when you analyze certain common features that run between them, you would end up concluding that they are absolutely the wrong individuals to lead their countries. But in this world when you sow and nurse a seed of deceit, hatred, disunity, lies, name them, it will one day come home to roost. Therefore, to many pundits Akufo-Addo and Trump are no political accidents. They are the very embodiments of what their parties represent.

Nana Akufo-Addo has a dangerous mentality, which is not good for politics. It is not good for an individual to have such a mind-set. Trump has same and perhaps worse. To these two individuals, any political contest they lose is not genuine. It is stolen! Period! They will never accept it!

That is why we have the NPP political hacks daily beating the war drums in Ghana especially on radio and television in Accra and Kumasi that they will never accept the December 7 Election results if it goes the way of President Mahama. What the NPP is therefore, telling Ghanaians and the world at large is that by hook or crook Akufo-Addo should become the next President.

In the US, Donald Trump is trumpeting the same absurd sentiments among his supporters. He keeps telling his supporters at rallies that the electoral system in the US is crooked and that attempts are being made to rig the November 8 Presidential Elections in favour of Senator Hillary Clinton.

As a result, during the last Presidential Debate, which was organized last week in the US, Trump repeatedly told Americans with the world watching that he would not commit to the results of the November 8 Elections if he loses. Many people who watched the debate, which many political pundits thought Trump could have used to resuscitate his imploding campaign were hugely disappointed and angry that Trump trampled on the over 240 democratic principles of the United States.

By refusing to pledge to accept the US presidential results if it does not go his way, Trump is telling the world that the much-touted US Electoral System is only good if he wins, but bogus and crooked if he loses. This serious unpatriotic statement has put the United States on the edge because for the first time in many centuries someone is questioning the authenticity of the Electoral System in the US.

Now hear what Trump said after being pushed by the Debate Moderator, Chris Wallace, and “I’ll tell you at the time, I’ll keep you in suspense.” But a day after the debate Trump stated that he would accept the results if he wins.

Trump and Akufo-Addo thus become the two most dangerous men on the planet to watch. They are running bad campaigns, cherry picking campaigns that is going nowhere when they leave their comfort zones.

Akufo-Addo clearly knows that grounds are not good for him, which is why the NPP Communications Directorate is writing reports and planting false stories about his campaign. Officials of the NPP Communications Directorate are now reporters and planting false stories everywhere.

When Akufo-Addo goes and greets a chief it ends up in NPP newspapers and on the web that the said chief has endorsed him, only for the chief to angrily denounce the story.

We see the same in the US, where in the face of defeat; Trump will denounce a poll that claims he is down and then jump in an upbeat mood when another poll states he’s up. With two weeks to go Trump is saying he’s up in the polls when ABC and CNN polls show he’s down by 12 and 5 points respectively.

Once can only say that Trump and Akufo-Addo are two paranoid individuals who are bent to drag everybody down with them when they face defeat. The world indeed will be a better place to live without them.

When Trump and Akufo-Addo are finally defeated in, the polls come November 8 and December 7, the world will hear the tell-all-tales about their horrible political campaigns. Stay tuned!

This is what I’m leaving with you for now!
