The article "Akufo-Addo has been on job creation spree appeared" in yesterday's edition of the ModernGhana news. The president's legal counsel, Kow Essuman, claims that Akufo-Addo has participated in initiatives aimed at creating jobs in the healthcare and agriculture industries. I want Kow Essuman to understand that the agricultural and health sectors have declined more rapidly in the past years of the NPP’s governance of Akufo-Addo-Bawumia, more than any Ghanaian government.

The reason behind the NPP's insane threats to Ghanaians that they will never hand over power to the NDC, is that they are aware that their government has been the worst in the country's political history and, more significantly, that if they go to the opposition, they will stay there indefinitely for a millennium. The entire NPP government is so illogical and lacks intelligence to the extent that they frequently forget Ghana is a democratic country where the people make all the decisions.

Kow Essuman continues to lie and advance phoney objectives for the NPP administration, much like other NPP politicians, writers, journalists, and state-sponsored tribal media. These agendas frequently involve jobs that they have never produced. For example, Akufo-Addo, Bawumia, and Ken Ofori-Atta have bragged about creating 2.5 million jobs, but this has merely been exaggerated because Ghanaians are not only experiencing high rates of unemployment but also inflation.

Akufo-Addo went on a sod-cutting rampage during the first four years of NPP’s administration, announcing the start of projects with opening ceremonies. However, Ghanaians will be shocked to learn that some of the projects, which were supposed to start as early as 2017, haven't been completed, let alone those that were supposed to start in 2023 or 2024. Since the Akufo-Addo-Bawumia regime was founded on lies, they were incompetent in every area, including agriculture and health.

"Akufo-Addo cuts sod for 40-bed Kpone and 400-bed Tema Regional hospitals," "Akufo-Addo cuts sod for $223 million Tamale water supply project," and "Akufo-Addo cuts sod for the construction of $49 million Damongo water project" (2020) are surprisingly still just wishful dreams. What rational person would believe that on August 1, 2023, "Akufo-Addo cuts sod for the construction of 8,000 affordable housing units" in the case that the NPP government fails to carry out these projects?

The government's failed fight against illicit mining, since the president, Akufo-Addo, is firmly behind, caused the agriculture industry to start declining. Many farms were affected or negatively impacted by illegal mining, and there wasn’t an ample supply of agricultural items to feed the populace, which resulted in high food costs on the market. There is a general outcry among Ghanaians regarding the rising expense of life and the possibility of a hunger threat.

In 2022, Ghana would not have imported $2.6 billion worth of agricultural and related items from the United States, which accounted for around 5% of the overall import value, if Akufo-Addo had been successful in creating jobs in the agricultural sector. It is even known that Ghana currently imports tomatoes and onions from Burkina Faso, a nearby country. The fact that NPP politicians have occasionally shown little care for the suffering of the people due to greed makes me very sad.

The lack of beds and resources has resulted in poor access to high-quality healthcare, which has caused the health system in Ghana to worsen as well rapidly. Many medical school graduates go years without finding employment, and many professionals in the field, such as nurses and doctors, face difficulties that frequently compel them to travel to developed nations in search of better living conditions. As a result, I'm not sure what Kow Essuman means when he talks about the health sector's performance.

The most recent is "Akufo-Addo Launches District Roads Improvement Program,” last month. For these and other reasons, I frequently ask Ghanaians whether they are foolish or the government is the stupid one, as no nation in the world can put up with this kind of stupidity. When the NPP government broke all of its campaign promises, including the fight against corruption and illicit mining, they should have been removed from office in the first years of their governance.

Ghanaians should keep a close eye on Kow Essuman because he is a very dangerous individual who is painting the government's failure as an achievement, just like Paul Adom-Otchere. Due to the destruction of the cocoa industry by illegal mining, which decreased the purchasing power of cocoa beans by the European Union, the cocoa industry has been negatively impacted by the agricultural failures of Akufo-Addo's government, as a result, cocoa farmers are currently finding it difficult to lead normal lives.

Akufo-Addo and Bawumia frequently exhibit sobriety in their attempts to win over the people they have deceived, including those in the Ashanti Region for years, as they did in 2016. However, Ghanaians would be making a grave mistake if they continued to support a government that told them, "Give me the power to serve you better and if I fail, you must sack me," and now has become the new slave masters violating the Constitution and oppressing the people.
