Why US Can Never Defeat I Iran.png Trump under-estimated Iran’s resolve and the country’s ability to outlast the death of Ayatollah

War is not as simple as some people are thinking. The United States undoubtedly has the most powerful military in the world.

However, that same country with the support of the International Security Assistance Force (ISAF), which included over 130,000 troops from 50 nations fought the rugged, primitive and mountain guerrilla Taliban in order to drive them out of Afghanistan.

After 20 years, the Taliban had defeated the 50 nations and it’s back in charge of Afghanistan. The regime change never happened. Regarding how the United States bolted out of Afghanistan, leaving millions worth of military ware just go to YouTube and search. As they say, if you ever feel useless just remember that after Trillions of dollars and thousands of American lives, America ended up replacing the Taliban with the Taliban.

In fact, Russia has been fighting Ukraine for about 4 years now and there’s no end in sight for what was supposed to be a swift victory for a military powerhouse like Russia.

Again, the United States, United Kingdom, Sudan, Bahrain, Israel, Saudi Arabia, and Pakistan all took turns to fight the Houthis, a small resistance group in Northern Yemen. The United States on May 6 2025, had to sue for peace, culminating in a ceasefire deal between the United States and the Houthis.

It is, therefore, delusional to think the United States will easily defeat Iran. The US can never defeat Iran.

Trumps plan was for a swift, decisive and clinical finish, through the murder and decapitation of the top leadership of the Islamic Republic.

Unfortunately, Trump under-estimated Iran’s resolve and the country’s ability to outlast the death of Ayatollah.

He thought it’s another Venezuela where the rest of the government and military cowardly capitulates after the kidnapping of its President.

Iran’s rapid and coordinated escalation demonstrates that command and control remain strong despite the death of Ayatollah.

Another reason this war will end badly for the United States is that it is not a well thought through operation. The flip flop explanations regarding the reasons for going to war with Iran by Marco Rubio, Pete Hegseth and President Trump himself gives credence to this point.

This war is Netanyahu’s. Pete Hegseth confirmed this in one of his press briefings after meeting congressional committee.

Netanyahu has been drooling about a war with Iran for the past 40 years, as stated by Senator Van Hollen “Netanyahu waited 40 years to find a US President ‘Stupid Enough’ to drag America into War with Iran.”

Most importantly, in the same way the United States has used Ukraine as a proxy to weaken Russia through a prolonged conflict, Moscow and Beijing are likely to seek similar opportunities in Iran.

Indeed, Russia and China don’t want this war to end anytime soon. By quietly fueling the fire with intelligence, diplomatic cover, and regional pressure in favour of Iran, they can slowly bleed the United States and Israel dry – militarily, economically, and geopolitically

Iran has made it clear that it has no interest in negotiating with the United States. And it has no desire for a ceasefire.

Iran is neither Iraq, Syria, Libya nor Venezuela. The United States and Israel will regret starting this war.

Netanyahu and Trump said they have destroyed missile launchers and depots but Iran is still firing daily salvos and inflicting very painful hits on American Bases and Israel.

Two days ago, that is Wednesday 4th March, 2026 Pete Hegseth, United States Secretary of War boldly stated that the Iranian Navy “rests at the bottom of the Persian Gulf” and that it was “ineffective, decimated, destroyed…pick your adjective, it is no more.” But just yesterday, the Iranian Navy recorded it’s second hit on the Abraham Lincoln Aircraft Carrier, forcing it to withdraw 1000km away from its position.

Iran is hitting millions worth of military ware and infrastructure with a few thousands cheap drones. Iran is fighting an asymmetric war, exacting the maximum cost against Israel and the United States.

Meanwhile, the Arabs do not want a prolonged war. Their economies are in jeopardy. The Arabian economies largely depend on Oil and Tourism. These two economic strands are sustained through stability and peace.

The strait of Hormuz has been shut and no Oil nor goods allowed to pass. Iran has threatened to sink any vessel that make any attempt to move through the strait. So far ten Vessels that made attempts were all bombed, including a United States flagged Oil Tanker.

A prolonged war with Iran will thus bankrupt Gulf economies, which will in turn lead their population who are too used to comfort, to rise and revolt against their leadership.

The global effect has been immediate, Europe has been the most affected so far, with fuel prices spiking to 16-month high.

Sadly for Europe, they have nowhere to turn. They have abandoned Russian Oil in favour of the Middle East and now this war has cut their Middle East supply.

The Arabs are losing badly needed revenue. They are now re-adjusting their budget.

Although, most of the Gulf countries wanted Iran destroyed, they are not oblivious of the cost of such an adventure on their economies and revenue streams. So they tried every means possible to persuade Trump against initiating such a war. Alas, the Neocons such as Ted Cruz, Lindsey Graham and Marco Rubio held sway over Trump.

With an unprecedented 7 visits to the White house in less than two years, Netanyahu has succeeded in convincing Trump that Iran is an easy cake. Unfortunately, like all cowards who timidly ride at the back of a Tiger, Trump has no clear way out of this war.

The United States is heading towards a strategic defeat.
