Amoako-Atta’s meet the press: speed of innovation and drive of excellence

Finally, the true story of the NDC legacy, a quandary of malfunction and mental flatulence, will be told in the “Meet the Press” session to be addressed by the Honourable Minister for Roads and Highways.

I expect him to give the nation the actual story as at January 2017, when His Excellency Nana Akufo-Addo took office as President of Ghana. I believe he will not mince words to tell us how the brutal NDC governments of 2009 and 2012 ripped the nation off in the most fascist manner ever brought to suffer on the country.

I want him to touch on the recklessness of the NDC in their nation plundering, and how many contractors were paid for zero work done, half work done, or shoddy work done.

I expect him to highlight the crimes against the State by some of those criminal elements who paraded themselves as contractors, colluding with thieves in high offices; those alleged armed robbers who masterminded the embezzlement of hundreds of millions of Cedis shared between themselves and their masters.

I expect that the Honourable Minister will tell us about the NDC plot to ransack the Ministry’s coffers by mortgaging the Road Fund for a decade at an unrealistically exorbitant interest rate to the UBA and other financial entities.

I expect that the Minister will tell Ghanaians how he has strived to bring the Ministry for Roads and Highways gradually back on its feet, years after milking the sick cow into perpetual comatose by a bunch of drunken NDC fucktards who did not care what posterity came to find.

Yes, they hiccupped their way into opposition, but that does not mean that their shame should not be blamed for the preponderance of excessive loose bowels that had nauseated the whole country for eight hellish years, we pray will never be visited upon us again!

I know that there is the Greater Accra Outer Ring that is in the pipeline, which I want him to touch on. This will be an achievement of the NPP government with Amoako-Atta at the helm of affairs at the functional Ministry.

The Ghana-Sinohydro arrangement will soon change the face of the road map of the major cities and townships. Like it or not, it is happening.

I do agree that the continual evolvement of our society remains a challenge where new roads have to either be constructed or re-tarred, but that does not rule away the fact that the Ministry of Roads and Highways is pulsating like the heart of a camel on a long, but persistent drive across the distant regions all over the country connecting the furthest to the nearest, just like the Railways Ministry. In fact these two Ministries have exceptional Ministers at the steering, and they are driving non-stop to turn the fortunes of the country around.

Of course, the naysayers will tell you, but the road this and the road that. First of all, let me tell you that under the NDC administrations, maintenance culture became a non-culture, abandoned on the sick bed of their incompetent yet over-priced clinics and hospitals to die a painful death.

President John Mahama announced the one billion US Dollar resurfacing project for the Greater-Accra region in 2016. I can tell you, from the information given me, that most of the money went into the pockets of the umbrella thieves. Inusah Fusseini, must be called by EOCO and BNI for investigation into the alleged evaporation of the money into thin air.

I wrote incessantly about this, but then again, how could the dead goats hear the cry of the shepherds? Bitumen roads were not reshaped and given the basic treatment before application of the bitumen and chippings. In some cases, the stones were actual boulders over three inches in size.

The internal roads at Achimota suffered most, including some parts of airport residential area along the Zimbabwe Embassy road. In fact, there was no work to show for that billion US Dollars.

Whose pockets did it go into? Now we need to know!!!

I know that the Roads Minister doesn’t sleep trying to make the best of the mandate given him by President Nana Akufo-Addo. I, also know that he is even sacrificing family time for the job at hand, so he should tell us what interventions he has implemented, what are in the pipeline and what are on the drawing board!

The state of the art highways that we heard about under the NDC were technological lies of gross acridity. The Western Corridor, which was highly touted by the NDC braggarts was practically non-existent. President John Mahama even taunted President Akufo-Addo claiming that the then Presidential candidate of the NPP was sleeping in his vehicle and so could not feel the smoothness of the roads. AAAAH!

The NDC made President Mahama campaign in a helicopter so that he would not see the grossness of their greed manifest in the bad roads he was misled into believing they were State of the Art! That was the dagger they stabbed in his back. He should have listened. NDC fo), daabi da, )mo nte as3m ase!

The Eastern Corridor was non-existent, but today, the Honourable Minister is leaving no stone unturned in his quest to make the corridors a reality under his tenure in office. I know because I see the work that is going on! I have shined my eyes paaa!!!

My only advice to the Minister is to remain focused as he delivers on his mandate to the cause of making “Ghana Great Again”!
