Premier League side Legon Cities have called off the signing of Ampem Dacosta after failing to reach an agreement with Asante Kotoko.
The former Karela United defender was expected to sign a permanent a deal with the ‘Royals’ in the just-closed transfer window but the deal hit a snag at the eleventh hour.
Despite coming out publicly to express his intention to leave the Porcupines Warriors, the player is set to remain at the club till another transfer window.
Communication officer of Asante Kotoko Kennedy Boakye Ansah confirmed the player will remain at the club at least for the next transfer window.
” As we all know Legon Cities wrote to us about Dacosta’s service, we discussed everything with them. But they came back and told us they are no longer interested in him. So he will remain at our club” he told Light FM.
Dacosta will now have to fight to regain his position at the club after falling in the perking orders behind Habib Mohammed and Ismael Ganiyu.
