An Ashanti queen Distributes free Salt

in an Attempt to Charm the Recipients

When you do the right thing always, you will have no need to worry about anything. You will not have to consult a Seer about anything as long as you walk in the path of truth and stay upright all of the time. A queen in the Ashanti Region is renowned for her insulting and disrespectful infamy. She has no regard for her subjects. She does not hesitate to insult anyone that crosses her path. She does not care about the well-being of her people and the area under her supposed jurisdiction.

Furthermore, she has vowed to dispose of any inch of the Stool land under her care pending the enthronement of a paramount chief. She will use the proceeds from the illegal sale of the land to fight any court cases instituted against her for whatever reason, she asserts.

Anyway, it has come to my knowledge from a chitchat held with a friend resident in Canada that the queen has distributed salt to the residents of a township. Her ulterior motive behind the unusual venture was to woo the people to her side through the consumption of the salt. She had an intention for the salt charming the recipients. She wanted them to support any course of action she takes no matter how damaging it may be to the people and the traditional area. What a mistaken ploy she took. How can she charm or entice the entire inhabitants of a township with salt, the friend asked? It has never been possible throughout the history of jujus to succeed in charming an entire tribe or entire inhabitants of a town, village or city as the queen in discussion intended. I enquired if she gave some of the salt to his relatives back home in which case they have reserved part for him. He laughed uncontrollably and uttered the words, "she had better shove the salt up her arse". What do I have to do with her evil-intended salt?

I believe contrary to the alleged purpose of the salt as asserted by the friend, that is, for charming the people. It was rather for warding off any evil that has been tormenting her lately. You will all recall that not long ago Kumawuhemaa had recoiled from public view. Some people reported she was hallucinating, seeing the ghost of her late brother Barima Asumadu Sakyi II, the paramount chief of Kumawu. Rumours alleged she was having mental disturbances. She was bundled away to some fetish shrine for healing. Upon her return having recovered, she distributed the salt to the inhabitants of Kumawu about two months ago. If she did as told, then it has to do with carrying out what the Muslims called "sarika" - offering a present to whomever according as instructed by the healer. This is a means to prevent further visitations or recurrence of the problem that had tormented you

Anyway, a few weeks after the free distribution of the salt as said, the Kumawuman youth went on peaceful demonstration requiring her to cease the illegal sale of Kumawu Stool lands and to speed up the process of giving them a paramount chief. The Kumawu Young Patriots also served her a writ of summons. What a slap in the face, a reverse success, one may say.

How is her soul mate, the Asantehene, going to save her from the unfolding melee? We live to see.

Stay tuned for more info.
