An Ex- Convict Can’t Choose A President For us – Asuma Banda

Part I

By Fadi Dabbousi

Asuma Banda, aka Alhaji shame, I stated in an earlier article that “in the distant past, it was said that one went along with a heavy gift as a show of respect to the wise man whose direction was sought.”

You drove yourself to the peripheries of disaster, much like standing on a cliff surrounded by precipices with nowhere to go. Suddenly you realised that a hungry bear was climbing towards you. Left with only two options, either to jump or be gnawed alive in the jaws of the bear, you foolishly decided to fight the bear, praying for a chance to become the new Samson of Ghana. It would have been better to jump off the cliff with the hope of hitting a branch to stall your fall or getting arrested by an angel and lowered to safety.

Well, what would you call an ex-convict who was arrested in the UK and jailed for trafficking hard drugs? A narcotics dealer and CRIMINAL!!! Let me state that the saddest moment in my life that I carried heavily in my bosom suddenly became lighter when the cat was finally let out of the bag. I mean, REALLY, Asuma Banda?

I challenge you to tell the nation how many years you spent in jail in the UK, and elsewhere. I will certainly make the report available to Ghanaians when it gets into my hands. We are in the process of applying to the British Scotland Yard to make available your criminal records. What! Please tell us if the cocaine that Ruby Ametepe was carrying was yours. I am now confused. I am suspecting that you had a hand in it. After all, it was alleged that you owed Swift Air approximately seven million US Dollars, and the value of Ruby’s cocaine load was worth about eleven million USD. Is there a connection here? That must be the missing link, which Sotland Yard should take you on for and investigate. Eii cocaine Asuma; ex-convict; what a tragedy!

It was said that you snatched Ibrahim’s girl from him. Was it Ruby Ametepe? OMG, the pieces of the puzzle are now falling into place. You just cannot compare to Honourable Nana Akufo-Addo (His Excellency President of Ghana 2017, inshallah). He is a luminary; you are not. He is a successful politician; you are a stooge. He is revered everywhere he went; you are frowned upon like a rotten potato. He is most affable, and you are most obnoxious.

Nana Akufo-Addo was directly responsible for the peace that we, including you, enjoy in Ghana today due to his submission to law and order. Your flaccid attempt to denigrate him just fizzled in your face. Had the tables turned around and your freaking party were in the NPP’s shoes, only ALLAH knows the kind of terrible confrontation that could have derailed our nation. Then, in order to raise your business, you stoop low as to step on the toes of the most loved Politician Ghana has had.

Please spare us the nausea of listening to your unfounded nonsense, and give yourself a break. You have waded murky waters, but by the time we are through exposing you for the true charlatan that you are, your name would be as soiled as the hind foot of a beast treading the bog lands of the UK where you were incarcerated. A convict as you cannot choose a President for us here in Ghana. You have no moral right to speak on such issues when your history is tainted with crime, and years of jail time. Once a criminal, always a criminal…!

Alhaji, I doubt if you know that wisdom means the ability to act or think using knowledge and experience. Wisdom is the ability to be irenic too, uniting people for a single cause, and that, Nana Akufo-Addo, is well endowed with. He did that and won 95% of the votes in the flagbearership race even when he had multiple contestants. Because Ghanaians are discerning they will never let you, a convict, point at or recommend who to choose as the next President of Ghana.

And again, you have no moral authority to speak on such issues related to Nana Akufo Addo’s exemplary qualities. Think back and appreciate how Nana saved Ghana on August 29, 2013.

Just tell us how many years your sentence for cocaine trafficking was. We await an answer. In the meantime, I am lining up some spicy exposés to introduce the real Asuma Banda to Ghanaians. I will not let go until you have duly apologised to Nana Akufo-Addo for your smelly hiccup.

Woahono amane paaa!!!
