Peace be unto you. The Lord that you worship daily has heard your cries, worries and concerns. I, Rockson Adofo, considering myself as a vessel of God, being always ready to be of service to my people, nation and humanity, will today come to your aid. I will point out to you how to overcome the tormenting problems confronting you of which you devoutly, but helplessly, seek the face of God or His miraculous intervention.
I have had the opportunity to read some of your desperate admonishing statements made in case Ghanaians would heed them, and then refrain from their despicable acts of perpetration of corruption. You often bemoan the lack of interest and seriousness by the Ghanaian office holders, especially judges, court clerks and politicians, to eschewing their utterly senseless fondness for corruption.
You have good intentions for Ghana, however, it is said, "Good intentions alone cannot bring about the world peace". Good intentions can only be worthy when they are backed by action through to materialization.
How do you understand the following bible verses Romans 10:8-10 "8 But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach; 9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved".
In an analogical, but explanatory scenario, would you please place yourself in the stead of a person sitting calmly on a chair under a tree in a public park/garden, with a stick/cane lying beside him/her? A bulldog is heading your direction with all the obvious signs of pouncing on, or attacking, you. What will you do if you happen to not be able to run away from him when the attack becomes imminent? Will you use the cane, big enough of course, to defend yourself, thus, fend off the dog, or you will continue to sit down calmly, doing absolutely nothing for the dog to maul you? Presuming you fail to defend yourself against the dog using the stick, and get dangerously mauled, who do you blame, yourself or God?
Be it known to you that God in His own abundant wisdom has empowered you, bestowed upon you the professional might and wherewithal to effectively fight or kill the corruption with its concomitant injustices, in Ghana. Nonetheless, you are behaving like the person in the bulldog's scenario who would not use the cane but will rather sit for the dog to maul him or her and then blames someone else for incident.
If you will permit, I shall inquire from you about your duties as the Head of the third arm of government, thus, the Ghana Judiciary? Being the Chief Justice, you wield the power of not only to interpret the laws of Ghana, but also, to a larger extent, their enforcement. Do all judges, lawyers and court clerks not come under your sphere of influence? Are you not their leader? Do you not have a mechanism in place to check to ensure they conform to acceptable procedural legal standard, thus, practice code? If any judge or court clerk decides to flout your laid down procedures in such criminal manner as your bemoaning suggests, what should you do as the Chief Justice? Will you make sure they are punished by applying the law or you will simply continue to complain in a seemingly helpless manner as you are currently perceived to be doing?
You have said about the court clerks, "If you don't hide the dockets..., things will take a different turn in this country," and again said, "It is unfortunate that workers in the judicial system are reckless or too wicked that even widows, we extort money from them. We don't show mercy to them. Even for small ordinary document, we take money from them."
From the above, I would like to ask you, how many of such known wicked court workers have you ensured that they have been arrested, prosecuted and jailed or sacked? If such corrupt persons do really exist within the judicial system as you assert, and are known to be causing the downfall of Ghana, what are you doing about them, Madam the Chief Justice?
You have again brought to the public knowledge, saying, "We have every cause to worry as a nation, as corruption appears to pervade every corridor of our national lives. The truth is that slowly but steadily this canker is threatening the very fabric of our society. Don't let anybody or anything lure you into thinking that the solution lies exclusively in the political elite, the big people, and the leadership in institutions. In truth, anything which affects our society has direct bearing on you and your families, so you are very much a party of the solution."
God through me is telling you today that He has given you the solution to the ongoing frightful corruption, the bane of Ghana's socio-economic prosperity. The answer is right under your feet yet you are looking for them elsewhere in the distant firmament. If only you will live up to expectation, do your job as a dynamic, dedicated, honest and a serious Chief Justice, making sure judges and court clerks follow laid down procedures stringently, punishing those that go astray from the acceptable path, corruption will ebb. However, if you keep on watching while judges and court clerks take bribes to twist justice as you are aware of, then Ghana will continue to sink. If Ghana sinks, God will hold you responsible for failing to do your job properly.
The laws in Ghana do not work hence the alarmingly ruinous corruption that we see. The laws are not working because most judges are not fair when dispensing justice. They are purely corrupt. They sell justice to the highest bidders who often would be the guilty parties if fair judgment was pronounced.
Finally, I leave you with the following bible quotation which emphasizes the power in ACTION. Brood over it. Be directed by it. And let it be the light that shines upon your feet so that you do not stumble in your quest to end corruption in Ghana in order to put the country back on a sound socio-politico-economic footing. James 2:16-18 16and one of you says to them, "Go in peace, be warmed and be filled," and yet you do not give them what is necessary for their body, what use is that? 17Even so faith, if it has no works, is dead, being by itself. 18But someone may well say, "You have faith and I have works; show me your faith without the works, and I will show you my faith by my works."... James 2:26 "As the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without deeds is dead"
Unless you stamp your authority to root out the corrupt judges and court clerks to ensure the prevalence of justice in Ghana, where regardless of anyone's status they will all be accountable for their actions, upholding the dictum, "the law is no respecter of persons", all your bemoaning will just be similar to an empty barrel making the most noise.
As it does not belong to he who is leading to redirect their steps, God has appointed me to direct you to the correct path where you will find the solution to Ghana's woes. From today onwards, you will not again complain about corruption ruining Ghana for you will act to stop the canker in its tracks; preventing it from ramifying if not uprooting it completely.
God bless you. Amen.
