An irrepressible urge to father shame - An embarrassing presidency

Of all those who may be referred to as role models, the Presidency carries a mystique of enchantment much like the captivating dance of an aurora at the two unreachable extreme poles of the earth. And as such, our President is supposed to be shrouded with similar magnificence.

However, that muse gradually eroded with time since the advent of John Mahama as Vice President to the first NDC government, and, subsequently, as President following the suspicious murder of his Boss, President John Evans Atta Mills, whose lifeless body was bundled up in the back of a taxi and sent to the maternity ward of the 37 military hospital.

It would have served the NDC better if its managers had done a background check on John Mahama to avoid the embarrassment that they are facing, and have inadvertently suffered the nation.

The birth of a bouncy baby by Aisha, his house-help, and the pregnancy that Asantehene's daughter is struggling with are but a tip of the iceberg in this sense. The birth of two children in Chicago, in 2006 and 2009, by two different women who were given residence at Madam Grace Kutu Acheampong, wife of the late Head of State Generel Igantius Kutu Acheampong, was a hidden secret very few knew about.

The naming ceremonies of these two children of John Mahama were under the auspices of Nana Osei Abebrese.

The fact that the founder of the NDC executed the Head of State, General I.K.Acheampong, begs the question, really, especially, that the accomplices of President John Dramani Mahama in his despicable acts were the late Acheampong's wife, Madam Grace, and daughter, Victoria, who were nurse and social worker in Chicago, respectively.

Conversely, John Mahama has put up the most appalling behaviour making it seem as if the only head that works is that that is between his legs.

Lordina Mahama,it is believed, does not care about that because she is also involved in her own secret affairs of a different kind that keep her mind away from his center, and on some other's. I am yet to come across any woman like Lordina Mahama, who is surreptitiously enjoying her own little pleasures, wanting to be called John Mahama's wife only for the sake of maintaining power in order to grab more and more and more of the Nation's wealth.

But what at all are John and Lordina Mahama going to do with the billions that they are amassing from the sweat and toil of the poor citizenry. John Dumelo's latest $120,000 (one hundred and twenty thousand US Dollar) Toyota Land Cruiser, special edition, that was doled to him by the Presidency for kissing butt is a confirmation that the NDC is robbing Peter to pay Paul, and, more generously, themselves, too.

The numerous Toyota Land Cruisers that were given to opinion leaders and chiefs are examples of evidence-based thievery. A recent Toyota Fortuner given to a Dagomba Regent was another example.

Bearing that in mind, how much of Ghana's money does John Mahama favour his infinite concubines and girlfriends with? How many houses and cars has he given them at the expense of the poor Ghanaian in his hometown of Bole/Bamboi, or the Northern Regions where he is canvassing for votes based on lineage, or the deprived cocoa and subsistence farmer, or the fisherman along the coast?

It is true that the Mahamas are of a shameful trait. After all, his brother Ibrahim also has no self-respect otherwise he would not have accepted to marry Sam Jonah's pregnant girlfriend, and father a bastard in return for massive favours that saw him rise to the top with doors flung wide open. Sam Jonah's son, who was raised by Ibrahim Mahama now spends more time in Dubai, living a lavish lifestyle, as he attends University.

Dear Ghanaians, I do not believe anyone wants a continuation of an ill-performing President who has reeled in more shame to our country than put smiles on the faces of the deprived, downtrodden, and hungry citizens. It is time to vote out John Dramani Mahama and his disgraceful bunch of nation wreckers, the NDC.
