The biblical Moses, although ordained by God to deliver the Israelites from their slavery in the land of Egypt, still had to go through tribulations. There was a time that the Egyptian King, Pharaoh, thought Moses had become a magician and he, the King, had to challenge him by an equal measure of his magical prowess.
In the end, Moses was able to remove all the Israelites from Egypt as promised, liberating them from the shackles of Egyptian slavery to a desert behind the Red Sea on their way to Canaan, the Promised Land.
Joshua took the Israelites to the Promised Land after the death of Moses according to biblical narrations.
I can see the combination of both Moses and Joshua in Nana Akufo Addo from Ghana. Like Moses who God Himself had designated to liberate His Chosen people, the Israelites from their slavery in the land of Egypt, but had to go through great afflictions, with his own people at times accusing, and about to reject, him, so is Nana Akufo Addo encountering similar problems.
The NDC people and their leaders are behaving like Pharaoh, the King of Egypt and the Egyptians. When God says let me people go, King Pharaoh responds by saying no. When Nana Akufo Addo wins elections, the NDC party supported by some rogue judges and chiefs deny him the victory.
When the NPP and Nana Addo move to restore peace to the party, the NDC infiltrates the NPP's rank with moles to cause confusion all in a bid to frustrate Nana Addo and the suffering Ghanaian masses same as King Pharaoh did to Moses and the suffering Israelites.
However in the end, God strengthened the hands of Moses to overcome all difficulties to set the Israeli captives free from their bondage in the land of Egypt. This can be found in Exodus 5:1 - Moses, with the help of his brother Aaron, confronts Pharaoh on God's behalf: "Let My people go" (Ex 5:1). Pharaoh refuses, and so God sends 10 plagues upon the Egyptians:
1. Water turns to blood.
2. Swarms of frogs cover the land.
3. Gnats infest the land.
4. Swarms of flies fill the air.
5. Egyptian cattle die.
6. Boils break out on Egyptians.
7. Hail and fire rain down.
8. Locusts consume Egyptian crops.
9. Darkness covers the land.
10. Every firstborn dies.
When the last plague kills Pharaoh's son, he finally allows the Israelites to leave.
As obstinate as King Pharaoh was for a period, so is President Mahama and his accomplices who probably include some judges, some traditional chiefs and some Electoral Commission staff are.
God has been plaguing Ghana with
Elders being disrespected by the youth and the vice versa – collapse in traditional Ghanaian values
Market burnings that deprive some families of their livelihood
Deaths from preventable diseases because the hospitals are not properly resourced
Scarcity and collapse of jobs
Abundance of armed robbery
Unprecedented official corruption
Conspicuous practice of tribalism and nepotism in recruitment of people into the public services
Abundance of mosquitoes to infect people with lethal malaria diseases
Dumsor – power outages leading to collapse of industries and redundancies of workers
Alarming borrowing of loans resulting in accumulation of frightening debts to Ghana
Upon all the above listed havocs being wreaked on Ghanaians, President Mahama and the NDC are not letting go their corrupt grip on Ghana by allowing Nana Akufo Addo to deliver Ghanaians from the land of slavery under President Mahama.
As one final blow that hit King Pharaoh prompted him to let the Israelites go, so shall something hit President Mahama and his selected few that are resisting the plans of God for the suffering Ghanaian masses.
Nana Akufo Addo will not end like Moses who never set foot in Canaan, the Promised Land. He will continue the liberation process like Joshua to become the President of Ghana to bring back smiles to the faces of all currently suffering Ghanaians.
God knows what he is doing so I shall advise Nana Akufo Addo not to be despaired same as Moses and Joshua did not. Your efforts, will be crowned with success despite all the problems you are going through at the moment.
Perseverance conquers difficulties. God is with you always. I have today declared the good tidings to you, oh the Chosen One of God, Nana Akufo Addo, the liberator of Ghanaians from their slavery.
