Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, the self-styled Omnipotent, Omnipresent and Omniscient ruler of the Ashantis, has done it again! As it was in the case of Election 2012, where he influenced the Supreme Court judges to declare the verdict in favour of John Mahama, the visibly known loser in the case, so has he done same with a Human Rights Court Judge in Kumasi? He had gone to see the Chief Justice, Mrs Georgina Theodora Woods, and President Mahama, to compel the judge to pronounce a verdict which is a complete smack in the face, thus, contravenes justice. He pleaded with them saying, if the judge plays the tape, he, Asantehene, will forever remain disgraced in the eyes of whoever sees the content of the tape. For him, a powerful King, to not to be seen to be foolishly assisting in corrupt activities, those he consulted instructed the judge to do as expected by Asantehene, but at the expense of the poor Kumawuman masses.

As the attitudes of Dr Kwadwo Afari Gyan and the eight-minute time taken by William Atuguba to declare the verdict without the readily availability of the full verdict report, so has the Human Rights Court judge taken five minutes to render a verdict without his written verdict report ready to hand out.

Asantehene prejudicially presided over the final arbitration of the Kumawu chieftaincy dispute dating from July 2007, on 24 February 2014. Kumawuhemaa from her own mouth declared before the Asanteman Council of chiefs and an audience of about one thousand people that she had given 150 million old Cedis to Kumawu Kontrihene, 100 Million old Cedis to Kumawu Akwamuhene, 100 Million old Cedis to Kumawu Nifahene who doubles as Bodomasehene and 50 Million old Cedis to Kumawu Gyasehene. In addition to this, the mentioned sub-chiefs have charged her 500 Million old Cedis out of which she had paid them a deposit of 70 million old Cedis, she said.

Mamponghene Nana Bonsu, once in his private life as Gyima Kese, alias Saint, disclosed to the audience information of which he was privy to, in an intimidating attempt to have the mentioned Kumawu sub-chiefs accept Kumawuhemaa’s candidate, one Dr Yaw Sarfo as Kumawuhene-elect. He said, “I am aware that Kumawuhemaa will provide each of you four sub-chiefs a brand new car if you help enthrone her candidate Kumawuhene…..” All the chiefs who had gathered there made reference to the bribery to oblige the sub-chiefs to accept Kumawuhemaa’s candidate. They were all saying, “Once you have accepted the bribe, it means you support the queen’s candidate”.

In order not to go back to reproduce the facts I have written in my previous publications, this issue became a court case. The credible evidence captured live on video recording tape was presented to the court. All the relevant laws criminalizing the bribery act were made reference to, and submitted to court in the plaintiffs’ written submission.

In the face of these proofs, Asantehene dashed to Accra to consult with the Chief Justice and President Mahama on Wednesday 15 October 2014 to solicit their assistance to have the case thrown out. He felt the playing of the tape would further damage his already dented reputation. This is exactly what the judge has done, refused to play the tape in contrast to earlier promise and determination, dismissed the case without offering reasons, and instructed Kumawuhemaa to proceed with Dr Yaw Sarfo’s enthronement as Kumawuhene.

As I shall be publishing an article about the Chief Justice, I am leaving her out in this publication but I promise her, she will be reading from me.

Asantehene, I expected you to have known better after your infamous interference with the Supreme Court verdict on Election 2012 petition, but unfortunately, you haven’t. Having developed tough skin as you say, you do not care about whatever anyone says about you as long as you have your selfish way. I thought you would not repeat your roguish way of life lived while you were resident in Canada and the United Kingdom, but you are doing far worse than you did in those days and years. You feel you have a bigger position; you can abuse the office of your position with impunity. Mind you, there is coming a day that you will be rendered powerless as there is a time for everything in this world - Ecclesiastes 3:1-8.

For having influenced the judge’s decision, knowing your acts are wrong, you will suffer mental torture and physical ailment until you perish in not a far too distant future. If you take a pesewa from any Kumawuman funds, resulting from any collusion with Kumawuhemaa or the chief you are illegally imposing on Kumawu, you must be severely dealt with by the gods, the Spirit Rivers and the powers of the departed souls that you and your subjects believe in. The Golden Stool that you sit on as Asantehene must sourly deal with you, being such a dishonest chief unrivalled in the chiefship history of Asanteman.

As I speak, you plan enthroning Kumawuhemaa’s candidate as Kumawuhene at Manhyia tomorrow, Monday 20 October 2014. The truth shall out, that is all that I can promise you. Go ahead to have the incoming chief from Ankaase sanction the sale of the one million acres of the Kumawu Afram Plains lands to the Norwegian business tycoon for you. Go ahead to have Kumawuhemaa allow you to access one-half of the Kumawuman funds sitting in the Bank of Ghana as agreed between both of you while Kumawuman lingers in utter dilapidation.

The sufferings and pains of Kumawman citizens will come to bear heavily upon your head and that of your family for generations upon generations to come, a completely dishonest person as you are.

I hope God does not grant you long life to continue to be a pain in the arse of Ghanaians. Ghanaians are suffering now because of the mischievous role you played in Election 2012 Supreme Court verdict. For how long will you cause pain to innocent people with impunity? Now, you feel mighty but don’t forget God is mightier. You feel like the Philistine Goliath, terrorizing the people of Ghana, especially, Kumawuman citizens. You will surely meet your David sooner, God willing. Asantehene please read Acts 12:21-23, Luke 12:13-21 and Proverbs 29:1-7, if they are of any relevance to you. You cannot fool God forever! A word to the wise is enough.
