Asantehene Is A Complete Disgrace

I used to argue fiercely that our chieftaincy was useless. Also, I held the view that the chieftaincy--as an institution--was out of place in our modern time and era. Back then, I saw little of its significance--let alone hold it in high esteem. In time, however, I have come to appreciate the chieftaincy more and more. Perhaps, my new found understanding and appreciation of our past have somewhat contributed to this. The chieftaincy, I believe, is more than an institution alone. To me, it bears testimony to the fact that our ancestors used to govern themselves in an orderly fashion. You know, most of us have been told, or at least have read somewhere that our ancestors were uncivilized savages living under primitive conditions. Sadly, our history has been rewritten by the enemies of the Black race to make our ancestors look less than humans. Therefore, you could imagine why I could consider our chieftaincy a blessing. It's the only truth, which stands like a giant, in the face of blatant lies. The chieftaincy institution is a reminder of what our ancestors were as opposed to what the enemy has painted them to be. Hence, my profound appreciation and respect for it.

A couple of days ago, Ghana's most powerful chief--Otumfuo OSEI Tutu II--made an alarming statement, which got me thinking. According to him, his ascension to the golden stool was by the will of God. He was even quoted to have said that "God made me the king." Now, freedom of speech could never be considered a crime. It's a given privilege, which each and every one of us are entitled to. I, therefore, respect him for making use of this given privilege. That said, the question--which entered my mind after reading that statement was; indeed, if God is responsible for making kings and queens out of men, then is he also responsible for making slaves out of men to serve these kings and queens? Yes or no? Also, what troubled me was the location where this statement was made--the Calvary Charismatic Center--a well esteemed church. Perhaps, most of you would agree that the church is not the place where this statement should've been made. Simply because, the White people, who brought the Christian theology to our country, didn't come in friendship, nor were they friendly to our ancestors.

These racist White Christians assaulted the Asante empire--butchering innocent men, women, and children with their Bibles in hand. I hope that Otumfuo OSEI Tutu II has not forgotten how his ancestors fought, bled, and died to keep the Asante kingdom free from these racist White Christians, whose religion he has seemingly embraced. The evils, which these racist White Christians unleashed upon the Asante Kingdom, could never be forgotten. Therefore, how could Otumfuo OSEI Tutu II in his wits praise the god of these racist White Christians for his ascension to the golden stool? Doesn't he know that these racist White Christians wanted to steal the golden stool--had it not been for the protection of our ancestors? Otumfuo OSEI Tutu II should be mindful that his conversion to Christianity is a slap in the face of his ancestors, who were considered pagans by these racist White Christians for their beliefs. In short, his conversion to Christianity is an act of treason. Queen Elizabeth of Great Britain would never accept an African Faith or religion--let alone praise an African god for her ascension to the British throne, or would she? Better yet, when was the last time that any of us saw Queen Elizabeth pouring libation in honor of an African deity?

So why, then, should a king, specifically a Ghanaian custodian, whose kingdom was once invaded by these racist European Christian armed-robbers, praise their god for his ascension to a throne? This doesn't make any sense whatsoever. I dare say that not only is Otumfuo OSEI Tutu II a disgrace--but also brainwashed. Now, to you Black people; the White man, who told you that the practice of his Christian religion would take you to heaven--that yours would take you to hell--lied to you. Also, the White man lied to you, when he told you that Jesus was a White man. He did that to get you to worship the White race--that's all. Remember, every time that you kneel down to pray to a white Jesus, you are, in fact, praying to the White man. Now, the White man would never pray to a Black man--never. So, why would you as a Black person pray to a long hair--blue eyes White man--thinking that he is your God? My advise to you all is; go back and take what you left behind--sankofa.
