It has recently been announced that Dr. Atta Mills is taking a vacation. You read me right; our so called leader has decided he needs a break to "cool off"… My question is who created the heat? Why does he need to cool off now? The news also stated that he is going to cool off with family in the USA. Well ladies and gentlemen, our great leader has finally exposed that he is the best pepsodent we have ever had.
Social commentator and a man who has been a fighter for the common man for around 8 years recently called former President Kufuor a pepsodent rather than a president. Kofi Wayo insisted that Kufuor was so useless that, he could not be classified as a president since in his view, Kufuor did little for the common man. I found this to be intriguing. If a pepsodent is an individual that does nothing for a people then, no leader personifies that term more than Dr. Atta Mills and, his recent announcement of a vacation personifies his uselessness to the common man.
How can a leader take one vacation to the farce that has become the AU then, demand another vacation less than a weak after it? How many Vacations does Dr. Mills need before we can get some water? How many vacations does Atta Mills need to improve our hospitals? How many Vacations does Atta Mills need before we get 1 million affordable housing units? I am not talking about the rip off called the STX deal!!! How many more vacations does Atta Mills require before our sanitation is the best in the world? How many more vacations does Atta Mills need to do ANYTHING? Does the common man get to take a vacation when things get tough?
The answer is no, there are no vacations in Atta Mills Ghana and, every day one must work above and beyond the norm in order to eat. Thus, what makes Atta Mills think he deserves a vacation? In reality the last 2 years has been a vacation because, he has done nothing for the common man. The only change we have seen is suffering and pain. If that deserves a vacation then, he can take one for the next 2 years because, many of us want no more of it.
Our Pepsodent Dr. Atta Mills should not be taking a vacation. He has not earned it and, he has not had any real vision to solve real problems. His biggest plan was to spend 2 Billion dollars to build 30,000 houses for party men. If this is not the perfect description of a pepsodent then, no pepsodent has ever lived.
Shame on you Dr. Mills, you do not value the people in Ghana and, you do not respect us. Shame on You, Dr Mills, for leaving Ghanaians to suffer while you enjoy the fruits of a prosperous country on a so called vacation. How can you disrespect us so much?… Your last 2 years has basically been a vacation and, you are asking for more! Are you not ashamed? How many more vacations do you need before you actually do something? At least fix the water problem in rural Ghana! At least fix the water problem in our cities! At least, improve our literacy rate to 90 percent! At least begin a greening project in Ghana so we can beautify the environment! At least help to fix the maternal mortality problem! I guess, I can expect nothing because; you are a pepsodent that has been on vacation for 2 years! Go ahead and take 3 weeks off in another country, you are not doing much here anyway…
