'Baamuyada'? Stupid! who said Ghana was Hausaland?!

The fake and manipulative National Democratic Congress’ propaganda blitz will not work this time around. Definitely not under the Akufo-Addo-led progressive, bold and visionary government of the New Patriotic Party (NPP). They can bribe the likeminded, lamebrained and cynically benighted operatives of the minor faux-socialist political parties to join unholy cause with them to attempt to SADA rip-off the hardworking blue-collar Ghanaian citizen and voter once again. But, of course, we all know, and the kleptocratic robber-baron leaders of the main opposition National Democratic Congress must be fully aware of this fact as well, that absolutely no amount of bluster will work this time around.

That is what the so-called Inter-Party Resistance Against New Voters’ Register (IPRNA) is about, the kleptocratic key operatives of the Rawlings-founded and Mahama-led National Democratic Congress (See “[Live Updates] ‘Tikusayi,’ ‘Baamuyada’ Demo Hit[s] Tamale Against New Voters’ Register” News Desk – Modernghana.com 1/11/20). You see, they may not want to hear this; but the fact of the matter is that in any well-functioning constitutional democracy, it is the overwhelming majority of the electorate and the citizenry who carry the vote, so there is absolutely no way that the legitimately mandated leaders of the ruling New Patriotic Party are going to sit duck and watch the proverbial tail wag the dog, instead of vice-versa.

Yes, absolutely no amount of Mahama-sponsored terrorism will stop the onward and inexorable march of progressive and patriotic Ghanaian citizens towards the irreversible fulfillment of our democratic aspirations. The fact that the Akufo-Addo-led New Patriotic Party heroically, and sheroically as well, surmounted humongous obstacles put in its way by an Afari-Gyan-engineered heavily bloated and foreign-names-packed National Voters’ Register to massively win the 2016 general election with a seismic or a landslide margin, does not mean that those of us fiercely mindful of our democratic rights and responsibilities have to continue to blindly, timidly and irresponsibly, as well as stupidly, accept a fraudulent National Voters’ Register criminally cooked by the movers-and-shakers of the National Democratic Congress.

The Mahama Posse can swear “Boot-for-Boot,” not just “tooth and nail,” to resist the all-too-legitimate and righteous decision to create a new voters’ register by the Electoral Commission (EC) all they want, but such ignoble and criminal resistance will not amount to the proverbial hill-of-beans. If the pathologically kleptocratic and grossly incompetent double-salary scamming Mahama Posse thinks that it can bully and intimidate its way back to the Jubilee House, these unconscionable and predatory nurses- and teacher-trainee-mugging political scumbags must be living in a fool’s paradise. Oh, no, we no go sit down make them cheat us every day! Hell, no! NDC and Comrade Little Dramani, enough of your cant and chicanery! “Baamuyada”? Who said Ghana was the Commonwealth Dominion of Hausa-Fulani herdsmen?
