Be Careful With Lufthansa Frankfurt - Accra Route

It is sad but I have to be frank to inform fellow Ghanaians about the secret flight arrangement our most reliable German Airline Lufthansa has been engaging for the pass months. Reacting on the bases as a regular customer to the said airline since 1996, there has been a lot of complains for the past from Ghanaians who have been travelling with the Airline to Ghana, from Frankfurt or via Frankfurt, but due to the “Love” I have generated to the Airline services, I did not take the issue serious, until it happen to my brother who pay a visit to me last month November in Germany.

After leaving Frankfurt Airport on the 8th of December 2011 and landed on the same day in Accra in the evening, with Lufthansa flight No – LH -556 , arriving at KIA , he realized that the Airplane was not from Lufthansa but a private plane. Later when he went for his luggage, one of them was missing, he reported the case to missing baggage center at KIA, but he received the first shock, because there were some number of passengers who have arrived at Accra for more than two weeks with Lufthansa and were still waiting for their bags without any concrete result, when he call me to inform me.

I try to make enquiries from Lufthansa office in Frankfurt Germany per phone to ascertain what was going wrong, only to be told that the problem is in Ghana and as such the solution to the problems should start in Ghana not Germany. As at today the 14th of December the bags are still not in Accra and according to my brother there is even no responsible personalities to tell you what is happening. The only consultation now is that , there are about 20 to 30 passengers who are still stranded waiting for their bags and some of them have waited more than three week.

In view of this experience, am advising all those who have plan to travelled to Ghana for the coming months with Lufthansa to change their plan and look for alternative ways to fly. Meanwhile am ready to give concrete evidence to prove my statements in case the need arise, and those who are in doubt about this issue should track the flight schedule on the internet from Frankfurt to Accra, at the time Lufthansa is about to take off from Frankfurt and the time it will be Landing in Accra. At this same time too, a private plane will be flying from Frankfurt and also be Landing in Accra on the time schedule for Lufthansa Landing that is a fake trick they are using to deceive customers that they are still flying!.
