“The former Attorney General and Minister of Justice [Betty Mould-Iddrisu] for the second time in less than a week protested strongly about the actions of some members of the Public Accounts Committee of Parliament [PAC]. Appearing before the committee for further engagements on the controversial ¢94 million CP judgment debt saga, Mould-Iddrisu accused a member of the committee, Isaac Asiamah of making derogatory remarks about her in an interview with XYZ News on Monday” (Ghanaweb July 18, 2012).

“Betty Mould-Iddrisu yesterday failed to prevent the Public Accounts Committee (PAC) of Parliament from subjecting her to strict proof over matters relating to the €94 million judgment debt payment to Construction Pioneers (CP). Mrs. Mould-Iddrisu, virtually in tears, had nobody from the majority NDC to rescue her as the Majority side was nowhere to be found” Ghanaweb July 19, 2012).

Lady Attorney General

Betty Mould-Iddrisu

Preyed like a vulture on prey

Bloody beaky buttering mold

Ah! Flamboyant big-lip

For kissing Mr. Judgment Debt

So Betty paid Woyome

So Betty paid CP

So Betty paid DDT

So Betty paid NDC

So Betty paid BETTY

So Betty got her 10 percent

Betty is a pen-armed robber

Who whines about her rights

Who whines about her dignity

Bloody beaky Betty

Big-lipped Betty

The useless AG

Clueless law student

Who lost all state cases

Cases on behalf of the state

Cases on behalf of the masses

Cases against thievery NPP officials

Cases that would’ve restored our hope

Cases that would’ve restored our voices

The voices of the poor masses to justice

Betty wields her dripping pen

Like bloody talons of vultures

The pen-armed robber

Dripping with elitist entitlement

Wields her pen with grace

Like a soaring vulture

Talons drawn on prey

Deadly pen that kills

Pen that drips poverty

Impoverishes the masses

Marginalizes the masses

Ghettoizes the masses

Betty Mould

Put aside the whining

Put aside play-acting

Put aside the legalese

Put aside the law

You don’t know the law

Let you mouth fall

Tell us about judgment debts

Rise above your theatrics

Stop whining like a vulture

Ah! Betty opens your beak

Let the truth drip out

Speak the truth

Tell us about these

Cases on behalf of the state

Cases on behalf of the masses

Cases against thievery NPP officials

Oh! Betty, the useless Attorney General

Tell us why judgment cases were won

Why you championed judgment cases
