Beware of the people you trust most

Beware of people nearer to you that you trust most, for they will stab you harder from behind. They are always smiling on your face while being abusive behind your back.

Julius Caesar, upon seeing Brutus participate in his gruesome murder, said to him, “Et tu Brute?” meaning, “You too, Brutus?”

Why did he say that? It was all because he trusted in the protection of Brutus; hence, he ignored the soothsayer’s warning to him to beware of the ides of March, an attempt to dissuade him from going to the Capitol because he risked assassination. However, he was only to find himself betrayed by Brutus. He least expected Brutus to be a full participant in his killing.

If you cannot save your friend, don’t tarnish their image through fabrications.

“There's no art to find the mind's construction in the face," said King Duncan in response to the disloyalty of the previous Thane of Cawdor, who was captured and executed for treason. He was discovered to assist the King of Norway against his own Scottish country or king.

King Duncan trusted him so much, but little did he know that he was a traitor.

What about Macbeth, who was appointed the replacement for Thane of Cawdor and was liked by the King? He was worse. He is described as “the face of Macbeth that radiated love towards Duncan, whereas his mind was full of venom for the innocent king.”

In the above-cited instances, were they not all those nearer to those who trusted them most that harmed them?

Is it any wonder that someone I trusted and spoke highly of his honesty is lying about me and demeaning me? His raining of insults on me is of no significance to me but his lies.

He doesn’t tell the truth when reporting his side of the story to others, but thanks to his evidential audio-recorded messages sent to his victims, he is always caught out.

In Jeremiah 17:5, the prophet said, “Cursed is the one who trusts in man, who draws strength from mere flesh, and whose heart turns away from the Lord.”

Why would he say this if he had not felt betrayed or knew of instances where people had been betrayed by those they trusted and confided in?

The schemers ganging up to bring innocent people down through the telling of lies, verbal assaults, and whatnot, with the aim of gaining undue advantage and possessions, had better mind the gap lest they fall into a deep hole.

They will soon be committing perjury in their push to have an innocent person arraigned. They had better watch my mouth and read my lips, courtesy of Kennedy Agyapong (Hon.).

To those human hyenas baying for the blood of vulnerable prey, there is a powerful lion lurking in the dark, ready to pounce on them, so they had better mind their actions.

Anyone who puts out any false information about the renovation of the house in Kumawu in an attempt to deceive the public will have to face my wrath, if not a quick rebuttal.

As you have thoughtlessly rushed to dispatch audio-recorded messages to people with the intent to cow them with threats and insults, you are caught in your own snare.

It is said, “obstinacy is the cause of the horns of the hornbill.” If you continue to be that stubborn, greedy, bitter, and consumed with anger and jealousy, you will be destroying your own health.

Nobody has sent any policemen to arrest you yet; you are lying to the whole world that the anti-robbers' policemen came looking for you. Why can’t you tell the smallest truth once to shame the devil?

I hope nobody will henceforth dare me.

You are free to insult me in your home, in public, over the mountains, and in the valleys as much as you want. Nevertheless, don’t tell lies, but the absolute truth.

Is this also a decision coming from overseas?

Spare the rod, and you spoil the child. I don’t want to spoil you, no matter how you have come to see me as your enemy.

With a hardened heart like that of King Nebuchadnezzar, it will be softened with the passage of time, accelerated, or facilitated by my published admonition and directions.

Do I sound stupid in your mind, o vainglorious journalist?

If you don’t derogatorily lie about me in your future audio recordings, I will have no qualms with you.

Stop being bitter and angry for no apparent reason.
