Can Ghana cope with Further NDC Second-term in office?

Wed, 7 Nov 2012 Source: Adofo, Rockson

With all the flagrant abuse of power punctuated by official gargantuan corruption, the NDC party and government are asking Ghanaians to re-elect them into office. I ask all logically thinking fellow Ghanaians, can you cope with further NDC second four-year term in office? The choice is yours to make on December 7, 2012.

I personally believe Ghana can no longer support any further perpetration of corruption by our political leaders, to be more precise, the NDC government. I was taken aback when I listened to Nana Agyemang Konadu Rawlings enumerate some of the reasons why she formed the National Democratic Party (NDP). Her party was born out of the urgent quest to kick the NDC government out of office not only owing to their belligerency but also, repugnant corruption that is killing Mother Ghana softly.

She mentions, "when you question a person in the NDC government and party who three years ago was wearing a broken "Charlie wate" (sort of sandals) but now possessing four separate mansions how he came by that, the person answers back, "And so what?" Therefore, you are a gargantuan thief, I would respond. Moreover, same hopeless people begging for food, feeding off the crumbs falling from the Rawlingses' dining table are now able to pay US$200,000 cash for a car. She says, some are having chains of petrol filling stations, fleet of petrol tanker-vehicles, and expensive mansions all acquired within three to four years of the Atta Mills/John Mahama-led NDC government. This to her, is unprecedented corruption which does not have any bearing with the cardinal principles or pivots of Accountability, Probity and Transparency (APT) on which the NDC party was formed and revolved. Hence, her desire to kick them out of office to save Mother Ghana from further miseries.

Why should you as rational beings continue to support the NDC crooks and thieves? Do you not realise how they have, and are, tarnishing Ghana's reputation both abroad and at home?

Some of those enjoying from the thievery the NDC are perpetrating in Ghana will come to you soliciting your vote for President Mahama and the NDC. They will lie to you about their achievements. They will tell you they have removed 1,700 schools from under trees but are unable to indicate where the schools are. They will tell you they have constructed Western and Eastern Corridor roads but do not know themselves what are, and where are, the Western/Eastern corridors.

For the sake of the beauty of democracy, and to rid Ghana of further ruins coming from the adverse effects of corruption, please vote out the NDC from power. They are not fit to rule Ghana any further. Their further presence at the helm of affairs of Ghana blights the intelligence of Ghanaians. They are never a role-model government that you and I should be proud of having as leaders. They are simply rogues and thieves. The facts are all too evident for all to see. The physically blind persons that cannot see the devastation caused by the NDC corruption do however feel the excruciating pains in their pockets.

I call on all well-meaning Ghanaians to go out in their numbers to campaign for the NPP and Nana Akuffo-Addo to help get rid of the shameless NDC thieves.

The NDC claim free Senior High School (SHS) education as proposed for Ghana by Nana Akuffo-Addo alias "Obuggie" is not achievable. Let me tell them without mincing words, the money they have been conniving with people like Alfred Agbesi Woyome to steal from Ghanaians are more than sufficient to make free SHS education happen.

I cannot stand these thieves and crooks. They disgust me.
