According to reports, Multimedia journalist and host of Fire for Fire, Patrick Osei Agyeman, popularly known as Countryman Songo was attacked by some CARA supporters during Kotoko’s training session yesterday.
According to Songo, the CARA supporters prevented Kotoko from training yesterday and were brutally manhandled by the supporters.
“We have been brutally assaulted, I was personally beaten up likewise the players, but the situation is currently under control and the players have been marched safely to their hotel where they are relaxing and focusing on the match tomorrow “, Obed Acheampong, Communications Director for Kotoko told FOX 97.9 FM after the incident yesterday.
Information reaching Sportsnetghana indicates that Countryman Songo has a cut on his eye after the brawl yesterday.
Officials of CARA are trying to deny the Ghanaian journalist accreditaton to cover the match.
Asante Kotoko is requesting to beef up their security both at the hotel and in todays game.
