DCOP Kofi Boakye & His Police Are Deeply Embedded in Kumawu Chieftaincy Dispute

Astonishingly contrary to expectation, rules and regulations as well as sanctioned ethics of the police culture, Deputy Commissioner of Police, Nathan Kofi Boakye, and his Ashanti region police force are rather not only interested in, but also, are head over heels involved in the ongoing Kumawu chieftaincy dispute. They have taken sides in the dispute, boldly come out as extremely partial, very supportive of Kumawuhemaa and Dr Yaw Sarfo, the alleged Kumawuhene, and in consequence, are exhibiting their unprofessionalism, hurting the susceptibilities of discerning Kumawuman citizens.

I shall keep repeating what the Inspector General of Police, Mohammed Alhassan (IGP), has been saying. He says it is not the duty of the police to involve themselves in chieftaincy matters, let alone, needlessly taking sides. He has warned that he will not hesitate to sack any police officer caught firing their gun, hurting anyone in consequence, when actively, but stupidly gone their own way to engage in chieftaincy matters. The police can only be there to intervene when there is a conflict, to stop people inflicting wounds or lethal injuries on their perceived rivals.

In the case of Kumawu, there has not been any ongoing conflict. What then is the significance of the heavily armed police personnel presence always seen in Kumawu, intimidating and harassing the faction of Barimah Tweneboah Koduah V, at the behest of Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II and the alleged Kumawuhene, Barimah Sarfo Tweneboah Koduah (Dr Yaw Sarfo in private life)?

Is it because of the alleged acceptance of a sheep and Ghc10,000 by DCOP Kofi Boakye, a palm greasing thank you gift to him from Kumawuhemaa and Dr Yaw Sarfo? If it is true as alleged, what did he do to merit that gift? If it is not true, why should people level that allegation against him? All that I know is the very people who took the sheep to him have revealed the secret to others. Some people are ready to curse him, invoking some purported powerful deities if he comes out to deny it. They think that is the only way to prove the veracity or otherwise of the allegation. I will rather, they leave it to God to take control.

When God's wrath comes to bear heavily upon you, no juju or fetishism can surpass its devastation. Therefore, I will prefer that all those with any intention of dealing with him as aforesaid, should he deny receiving anything from Kumawuhemaa or whoever, that has subsequently influenced his biased attitude to the Kumawu case, to leave it in the hands of God. However, they must continually make supplications to God to prove His power to all those trying to make Him look a liar by their despotic misbehaviour.

As the devil carried some arrogantly despotic persons in the NPP, who indeed were just exhibiting absolute ignorance, on his wings, flew them high up into the skies and then abandoned them, culminating in their free fall from that height on to the ground with a thud, so SHALL it be the fate of some people dubiously involved in this Kumawu case.

If Kofi Boakye will mind, he had better take notice of these prophetic words and warnings coming from me. He never knew, and he does not know God's plans about the Kumawu chieftaincy case, but today, I have revealed a secret to him.

It is God's purpose to enthrone Barimah Tweneboah Koduah V from the Ananangya royal family on the Kumawu Koduah stool. It is not within the capability of Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II to stop God's plans from materialising, let alone, Kofi Boakye's.

I strongly advise DCOP Kofi Boakye to take cue from the sad and regrettable fate of our departed brother, Mahama Adams, the NPP Upper East regional chairman in relation to the future political career of Kwabena Agyepong and Paul Afoko. Obstinacy, one-man showmanship, tendency to relish in despotism, disregard for the party's rules and regulations and false elevation of themselves resulting from their intents to maliciously cause the downfall of some people, now their political career is teetering on the brink of a bad situation. Will they survive the public's perception of their role played as the initiators of the action that resulted in the untimely death of Mr Mahama Adams?

It could be that they have nothing whatsoever to do with it but will many people believe them considering the recent suspicious developments countered by Adams a week or so before his demise?

Kofi Boakye and all those police officers who are resolutely determined to involve themselves in the Kumawu case, as either being pushed by some "order from above" or their own selfish interests should please look before they leap. They cannot challenge God and go scot free.

The wrath of God upon them is imminent. No one can stubbornly challenge God without being placed where he/she squarely belongs, in the end. If you humble yourself, you will be elevated, the reverse is true if you elevate yourself.

A word to the wise is enough and my prophetic warning is worth noting.
