Development projects undertaken by Isaac Adongo since 2017 to date under Bolgatanga Sherigo Zone (Part 1)

Bolgatanga Central Constituency is one of the largest constituencies in the Upper East region of Ghana with a population of 139,864 comprising of 148 polling stations. There are 27 electoral areas or wards which are grouped into six zones namely, the Sherigo zone, Sumbrungu, Central, North, South and North East zones.

The Member Parliament of the Bolgatanga Central Constituency has contributed enormously to development of his constituency. The Hon. MP has been non-discriminatory in his efforts to improve the lives of his constituents. It is on account of his non-partisan approach to development that I have undertaken to recount and retell this phenomenal contribution which is little to Ghanaians.

Hon. Isaac Adongo is famous for his impeccable and impeachable analysis of the national economy and making the Vice-President invisible in an area that brought him to limelight. The Hon. MP received awards at the national level for his achievement. Before I begin, let me reveal that in recognition of his national and constituency contributions, he was elected unopposed during the NDC primaries to contest for a third time.

Ever since the Hon. Isaac Adongo got elected and re-elected as our MP for the Bolga Central Constituency, he has been first among equals in competent delivery; he has always spoken the minds of the layman in the street and has also brought to bear tangible infrastructure to take prompt care of the pressing needs of his constituents. Hon. Isaac Adongo won an award as best MP in Parliament in his first term. A feat very few MPs have laid hands on. No wonder his elder colleague MP for Bolga East, Hon. Dominic Ayine is reported to have said if it were possible he would not mind adding his position as MP to Hon. Isaac Adongo. When Hon. MP speaks, the whole nation listens and the international community follows him with keen interest.

HIS CONTRIBUTIONS UNDER THE EDUCATIONAL SECTOR IN BOLGA SHERIGO (Siirego)

Isaac Adongo is a peerless MP for Bolga Central Constituency. Education, they say is the cornerstone for national development. The contribution of our able MP in the educational sector is remarkable. He has through his common fund paid the fees for students at various levels of school in the Siirego zone. The number of students who have benefited from this life touching initiative stands at over 60. Our Hon. MP has also donated 100 bags of cement to support the physical infrastructure of the Bolga Sherigo Senior High School. He has also made available to Sherigo Senior High School 50 chairs and tables. Add to these, Hon. Isaac Adongo has gone a notch further to let the pupils of Tindonsobiligo-Kalbeo also get a share of metal-framed dual desks. At this point, is it not safe to say our MP has delivered and will continue to do so if given another mandate by the good people of Bolga Central?

UNDER HEALTH SECTOR

Closely related to education is the fact that the wealth of a community depends heavily on the health of its inhabitants. In that regard, our workaholic MP has augmented the capacity of the CHIPS compound at Nyorkoko Basengo with a well-furnished maternity ward. The said newly constructed ward by Hon. Isaac Adongo contains a delivery room with a capacity of 10 beds, a compartment for records keeping, office for the midwife and of course, washrooms.

Still under health the Hon. MP constructed a well-furnished maternity ward for the good people of Kalbeo which comprises10 beds, a compartment for record keeping, a well furnished office for a midwife with washrooms and a delivery room.

UNDER WATER & SANITATION

In the area of portable water for his cherished constituents, our Hon. MP has successfully drilled, completed and hand over 5 boreholes; one each located in Kumbilingo, Dorongo, Sherigo Azuuribisi, Sherigo Kembisi and Kalbeo.

UNDER SECURITY SECTOR

The last but not the least, issues of security in the constituency is of utmost importance and of great concern to our Honourable MP. The MP is leaving no stone unturned to ensure his people sleep soundly without anxiety and go about their normal day-to-day work without fear and panic. For this, he has once more constructed a police post at Kumbilingo, a suburb of Sherigo. This newly erected police station has an office for the station commander or manager, cells for males and females respectively, washrooms for males and same for females.

In conclusion, our MP has indeed, done a lot that we can be proud of. All these initiatives are verifiable. They are not conjured. It is expected that his good works will extend his mandate as a dependable MP.
