I am not a numerologist but if it can be said that a person has a favourite or a lucky number, then the number 7, is one for former Vice President, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia.

As I've mentioned, I won't pretend to be a numerologist, but the numerological analysis I'm about to make is as precise, as it is stunning.

From the headline of this piece, there are about 7 times the number 7 is so special to Dr Bawumia, with each aptly symbolising something special about Bawumia himself, Ghana's election, the 4th Republic and the Presidency of Ghana.

Now, let's go through a simple exercise to unravel the mystery, if you choose to call it so.

07 October: Happy Birthday

Dr Mahamudu Bawumia's affinity with the number 7 begins with his very first day in this world. The former Vice President was born on October 7, 1963. Yes he was born on October 7, and today is his birthday; his 63rd birthday.

07 December: Election Day

December 7 is a special day set aside for Ghana's election every four years, and Ghana's next Presidential election will be held on December 7, 2028. It is widely expected that Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia will be elected to be the NPP's Flagbearer for the 2028 elections. And when that happens, by the grace of God, the election will be held on the 7th day of December in 2028, God willing.

07 January: Inauguration Day

In the Fourth Republic, January 7th has been designated as inauguration day for Presidents and Vice Presidents. Already, Dr Bawumia has been sworn in twice on the 7th day of January, in 2017 and 2021, as Ghana's Vice President twice - the highest public office he's held.

And if he wins the 2028 election, which will be held on the 7th day of December, Dr Bawumia will again, be sworn in as Ghana's President on the 7th of January, 2029.

But wait for the last 7, which is even more stunning!

7th President of the 4th Republic

The most interesting is that, if you're not moved by all the above, Dr. Bawumia wil become the 7th President of the 4th Republic, when he is, hopefully, sworn in as President on January 7th, 2029.

The first President of the 4tt Republic, of course, was Jerry John Rawlings, the 2nd was John Agyekum Kufuor, 3rd was John Evans Atta Mills, 4th was John Dramani Mahama, 5th was Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, Mahama returned to become the 6th after winning the 2024 election.

With President Mahama ineligible to contest, whoever wins the 2028 election will become Ghana's 7th President of the 4th Republic, and with Bawumia's amazing luck with the number 7, it appears he is destined for greatness and very likely that the Almighty God's favour will smile upon him.

7th Vice President

Still on the number 7, it is interesting, again, that Dr. Bawumia is already Ghana's 7th Vice President in history, after Joseph W. S. de Graft Johnson, K. N. Arkaah, Prof John Evans Atta Mills, John Mahama and Paa Kwesi Armissah Arthur.

Ironically, Dr Bawumia became Ghana's 7th Vice President during Ghana's 7th General election of the 4th Republic in 2016, following the 1992, 1996, 2000, 2004, 2008 and 2012 elections.

The 2028 election, which could produce Dr. Bawumia as the 7th President of the 4th Republic, will be Dr. Bawumia's 7th national election he will be involved in, either as a running mate or as a presidential candidate (if the second round of the 2008 election is treated as a separate election).

Amazing, isn't it?

Conclusion

Dr Bawumia was born on October 7th and became Ghana's 7th Vice President in history at the end of the 7th General election of the 4th Republic.

Will he be sworn on January 7th , 2029 as Ghana's 7th President of the 4th Republic, from an election which will be held on the 7th?

Oh and if you did not realise, the name BAWUMIA has 7 letters!

Bawumia's special number 7 suggests something divinely great is in the offing, but only God knows, and only time will tell. And as God himself has said, nobody can change what He has destined for anyone, and if He has destined Bawumia to become Ghana's 7th President of the present Republic, no man can change that!
