Former Ghana international Michael Essien has wished Didier Drogba farewell after his illustrious career.
The pair had an illustrious career at Chelsea wining several trophies including the UEFA Champions League in 2012.
Drogba retired from football at the end of this season at the age of 40 and his former teammate had some great words for him.
“Mon frere @didierbrogba. It was a pleasure playing with you. You inspired many of us to go the extra mile and you have been a great ambassador for African Football and @chelseafc. Thank you brother and good luck in your future career.??????” Essien tweeted.
Drogba featured for Le Mans, Guingamp, Marseille, Chelsea, Shanghai Shenhua, Fenerbahce, Montreal Impact and FC Phoenix Rising Stars.
