First Lady turns 52 on Ghana’s Independence Day

Today, March 6, known worldwide as Ghana’s Independence Day also marks the birthday celebration of the First Lady of the Republic of Ghana, Mrs Lordina Mahama.

Mrs Lordina Mahama, born as Lordina Effah on 6 March 1963 to Mr. and Mrs. Effah of blessed memory, hails from Jema-Ampoma in the Nkoranza district of the Brong Ahafo Region.

Lordina who is the last of three children had her early education in Tamale at the Tishigu Anglican primary school and then continued to the Ghana Secondary School in Tamale, where she completed her GCE education.

She is a true Christian and a wife of Ghana’s President John Dramani Mahama and they have been blessed with eight wonderful children.

Mrs Lordina Mahama has developed a strong love and strident passion for the welfare of children, and everything that goes into making and keeping children happy; hence has engaged in so many activities to fulfill such dreams in the country.

She is indeed a real embodiment of a mother for all Ghanaians and has supported her husband the President to help provide the best mechanisms for the betterment of the country.

She manages to keep strict discipline that enables her fulfill all the roles as best as she can.

We pray that God Almighty will continue to bless and strengthen her as she celebrates her birthday today.
