Dear His Excellency John Mahama; President of the Republic of Ghana,
Congratulations on your 100 days in office! I wish to draw your attention to some of the activities being undertaken by some of the Ghanaian citizens to impact positively on your “Better Ghana” agenda.
Mr President, you indicated in your inaugural address about the foresight of Tetteh Quarshie, a farmer with a vision for posterity who brought in cocoa beans from Fernando Po to plant in Ghana.
This singular act by Tetteh Quarshie in 1879 has since evolved into a major cash crop which provides jobs to thousands of citizens and significant foreign exchange to the nation. Some Ghanaians, such as myself, have taken the initiative to follow in the footsteps of Tetteh Quarshie to contribute positively to help resolve the on-going power generation challenges, as well as to provide other key infrastructural development projects to grow Ghana into a model modern nation.
My company, JKL Energy Limited and its foreign partners are proposing a self-help turnkey infrastructural development strategy for Ghana which will not incur any external debt. Since October 2012 through February, 2013 our proposals have been submitted to the Office of the Chief of Staff, Executive Secretary to the President and the Office of the Minister of Energy and Petroleum and have received positive responses pending final approval.
Mr President, I chose this medium to attract your attention because Ghana is in competition with two neighbouring countries to secure these infrastructural development projects from designated foreign partners. It is therefore important that Ghana does not lose out on these developmental projects due to its far reaching benefits such as the provision of employment opportunities for thousands of Ghanaians, at all levels, through its satellite manufacturing operations ranging from hands-on operational staff to key management personnel. Additionally, the economy will be expanded with value added service delivery benefits as well as provide increased government revenues.
Sir, I am available to provide further detailed information to your offices for your perusal.
Mr President, you’ll notice that some of the citizens of this great nation are ready to play a meaningful role in nation-building to make Ghana GREAT & STRONG!
Yours sincerely,
