Rest In Peace. Egya Atta Mills

Tue, 23 Jul 2013 Source: Yumzaa, Naawuni Malmi

Somewhere in Ghana, your name was born

A great name it was. Lo!

Hardly did we know you will reach this far

Giving all your commitment and soul to the learning of a knowledge, you came first

A unique knowledge so learnt. A knowledge that gave back to those with whom you were born

It didn’t take so long when you became a father, a mentor and an icon

You showed us the Godly way of paying tithes and giving back to a nation through VAT

Who would have known you were God chosen as the number two man of the nation?

Your God, our God, my God, the all knowing God had decided

You became the number one man again by surprise. Our God was not surprise. He had spoken

As a leader and a mentor, you showed us the path of humanity, peace, love, unity and integrity. You led by example and you led by the Godly way

As a chosen one, you lived but short, peace was your words

July is when we should remember you, the time you were gone

You left us with grief and pain, but your name shall always remain

A name that reminds us of all the good qualities of leadership

Integrity, humility, transparency, peace and unity, accountability and all positives of leadership

REST IN PEACE! EGYA ATTA
