It has been 6 months since the intervention in Libya started under the premise of
saving the
Libyan people from Gaddafi who was said to be on the edge of Benghazi with the
intention of massacring his
people. At the time of the intervention
there was no evidence of this. In fact, and his troops had marched all the way
from Tripoli across the desert and put out protest without
massacring the people on their way to Benghazi.
In fact there was another massacre not often talked about. Namely, there was a
massacre of poor unarmed African immigrants by the rebels under the façade that
they were mercenaries, a fact never proven with any empirical evidence. Thus,
it must be asked, what really prompted this intervention? Was it really to save the
Libyans? I am of
the belief that the intervention was mainly to enrich the west by creating a
war in a prosperous country in order to get oil wealth and new contracts to
help rebuild after NATO bombs had blown up the infrastructure.
The Libyan Rebels have no integrity. How did the revolution start in Libya? Some
would say it started with protests but, in my humble opinion it
started with the lie that there were “African mercenaries” imported en masse to
kill Libyans. The question must be asked, of all the stories the Rebels
could have come up with why choose the poor Africans who, like most immigrants,
were often doing the jobs that most Libyans would not do? The answer simply is the
Rebels knew that the one thing that would unite the people of Benghazi in fury was a
story that Africans were
killing Libyans! After all, to them the other Africans were the people that
they were unhappy to have in their country! Not the over 1 million Asians, or
the European tourists but the poor African immigrants! Out of nowhere these so
called “Peaceful
protestors” had guns and were chasing around any unarmed person who look to be
from Sub-Saharan Africa! There were massive arrest and even killing of poor unarmed
people.

Some even went out of their way to post youtube videos of
what were obviously economic immigrants and presented them as mercenaries! The
story was very sophomoric but, it seemed
the world community bought it so easily. More likely this was largely due to
the dehumanization of the African, especially the Sub-Saharan African, for
centuries and which still continues today…
It must be noted that there were some people of integrity
who caught on to the lie. Human Rights Watch a credible organization clearly
came out and said there were was no evidence of mercenaries who had been
brought to Libyans!

The Sad thing is many people were killed by these so called “Democracy
seekers”. This included in excess of 70 Chadian in only one day. In fact, Turkish
construction worker told the BBC: that and I quote “We had seventy to eighty
people from Chad
working for our company. They were massacred with pruning shears and axes,
accused by the attackers of being Gaddafi’s troops. The Sudanese people were
massacred. We saw it for ourselves.’ ”!!!

Massacred based on a lie! 70 in
one day from one company! Massacred because of the color of their Skin! No trial,
unarmed, no mercy, no inquisitive question like perhaps(where is your gun
mercenary?)! Nope! Nothing! Just kill the poor unarmed guy! Democracy indeed!!
In fact, one has to wonder about the many News organizations
who reported on this story! It would
seem at the beginning of the revolution many did not even understand the
demographics of the country! Libya’s
Army had a good number of Black people in it and the Native Blacks of Libya
make up 10-20 percent of the population. Thus, why did the “Democracy lovers”
proceed to kill unsuspecting Black Libyan Soldiers who spoke the Libyan
language sent to restore order? Why would they call Black Libyan Soldiers and
Black Libyans foreign mercenaries?
Warning some may be Graphic.

It is pretty obvious to anyone following this that the Rebels
are not innocent people but, many are blood thirty thugs who took the
opportunity to attempt ethnic cleansing of the Black Libyan tribes. Some even
called themselves “the brigade for purging slaves, black skin.

What started out as a clearly anti-Black movement later turned into an opportunity
to kill Libyan who did not agree with the Rebel ideology. This even included
beheadings!!!

Were
these people really fighting for freedom as the western media has portrayed or
are they radical thuggish Islamist who enjoys killing unarmed civilians and
those who don’t agree with them!
Luckily
Atta Mills took the initiative to get Ghanaians out of Liyba before it got very
ugly and he must be commended for that. Atta Mills got 18,000 unarmed Ghanaians out
of
Libya the highest evacuation
of any country in Africa!

Part
2
The
Intervention by NATO:
I
am certain Western intelligence sources knew the rebels were not credible and
had numerous thugs’ amongst them but, with no evidence of any credibile threat NATO
led by France the UK and USA started a No-Fly-Zone! Shockingly the No-Fly-Zone was
requested by
the Arab league that did not see it fit to request one for the people of Bahrain, or
Yemen who were likewise being
killed. Instead, the Arab leave gave a green light to institute a No-Fly-Zone
in Libya.
It should be noted that Gaddafi was generally not well liked in the Arab league
because he had on many occasions belittled other leaders and many must have
seen this as a chance to finally get rid of him! They did not do this for Democracy
as most still have an absolute monarchy but, due to petty rivalries that exist.
The good news for them was the simple fact
that the West, especially the countries in the Northern Mediterranean (Europe) had
long been after Libya’s
resources.
Gaddafi
had essentially put in place mechanisms which rendered Libya one of the few
countries in Africa not being “raped”! If you were digging Libyan
resources, Libya was getting
the majority of the money, if you offended Libya
you got none of Libya’s
resources! Common sense stuff but,
assertiveness generally not liked in West were Africa
is viewed as a backyard to “rape” and mock! Libya
essentially was the most free (from external forces interfering in internal affairs)
and rich country in Africa! Thus, the
opportunity presented itself and the West took it!
First
it started as a No-Fly-Zone! The propaganda was Gaddafi was going to bomb the
people of Benghazi
and show no mercy. The problem is there was no evidence of that. As stated
earlier Kaddafi’s troops marched from Tripoli
to the Edge of Benghazi without committing a massacre in any of the cities they
passed through! All the while there was
a known Massacre happening in Yemen
and Bahrain which was either
worse than what was going on in Libya
or equivalent at the time of the intervention! Maybe the fact that they are
allies played a role in getting over looked because; they were not doing
anything different. The big point here is the simple fact that the reasons for
the intervention make no sense! What makes sense is the fact that it is an oil
grab by the west and has little to do with human rights. The problem is, what
started as a
No-Fly-Zone, instituted based on what was largely not proven and what has now
been proven to be mostly lies turned into a No-Walk-Zone were any Libyan
solider who went out to do their job and was spotted by NATO was killed, bombed
to death! Now, there are even special forces on the ground searching for
Gaddafi

In
fact, overall over 1 billion dollars has been poured into this mission and I
can say with the utmost confidence it will be paid back in full times 10 over by
the Libyans!
In
fact, it has already started. There are already discussions about
reconstruction. Reconstruction is where the money is! Thus, if you blow it up
you can build it back and help failing companies get much needed revenue! Guess
which firms are going to benefit? The
same ones who were quick to jump to war on shabby excuses and change the
mission numerous times!!

Let me categorically state once
again that every country that participated in this bombing either implicitly or
explicitly will get paid in full! It is
all a game after all to many of these “leaders”! The rules don’t really apply
when dealing with countries in African and elsewhere which is why money which
was frozen is being handed over to the Rebels… You read that right! A shady armed
revolution starts in a country, a make-shift council is put together, and
countries that see a benefit jump in and kill what some estimate could be well
over 10,000. Then, common sense laws are ignored and state resources are given
to a faction in what has been a civil war sustained by NATO!
In the end, I feel that Ghana should
not recognize the Libyan Rebels because, if this is truly about democracy then,
after they have a credible election that would be the time to recognize
them. I am not certain they can achieve
that with all the arms in the country and the underlying tribalism and other
division starting to surface. After all it is always easier to start these
things than end them but, it in the end the most important thing for Ghana is to not
jump on the bandwagon but, make a decision based on solid empirical evidence
and true justice.
