Former Black Stars midfielder Derek Boateng believes that African footballers including Ghanaians find it easier to adapt to the Spanish La Liga.
The competition currently has the likes of Abdul Baba Rahman, Joseph Aidoo, Thomas Partey and others representing from Ghana.
Boateng, who played for Spanish sides like Eibar and Getafe said that the league gives way for expressive football which Ghanaians excel at.
“The La Liga is the best league for African players because the teams there play very expressive football and that’s exactly what Ghanaian players are good at, that makes it the best place for our players in Ghana, the exact reason why the likes of Thomas Partey and others currently playing in Spain are excelling in Spain” Boateng told Starr FM’s Benjamin Yamoah in an Instagram chat.
The likes of Michael Essien, Kevin-Prince Boateng and Emmanuel Boateng among others have also played in the league.
