Dad, on the occassion of your 68 birthday, I wish you more happy years ahead. I wanted to send a personal birthday card and a token of a gift to you since you really don't need much but I have only five pounds to live on for the rest of the month so any thought of gift is just a mere fantasy . Whilst you are at the Castle eating the best of food and drinks that the Taxpayers can provide, your son, Little Sam, do you remember me is living on the benevolence of the British Taxpayers. How come all the Politicians in Ghana children have good education but you have abandoned me to my fate at a council flat in England?

Dad what did I do to deserve such treatment from you? I did not ask to be borned. You decided to have a good time with my mother without using protection and ended up having me. Why do I have to suffer for the mistake you two grown ups made? Don't I deserve the love of a father like any child in the world? You want to be the father of all Ghanaians except one,me, your own biological son.

Dad, you are a Christian, doesn't the Bible extol you to take care of the Children you bring to this world? I know you were not married to my mother when you had me but you were married to Mama Naadu, is that the reason why you abandoned me to this life of misery in foreign land?

Dad, you have surrounded yourself with bootlickers at the Castle who sing your praises even if you are wrong. Did Rawlings tell you to educate me in schools in Britain and USA as he did his children? You have old men surrounding you and advising you as Council of State who educated their children in the finest schools in the world, do they advise you to do something about me?

Dad, have Young men at the Castle, some as young as I am, who you call your Communication team drawing good salaries and pecks including state provided mansions. Do you see my ghost in those young men when you pass them on the corridors of the Castle?

Dad do I even come into your memory when you are feeding the German sheperd dogs at your house you and Mama Naadu call as your children? How can these dogs have better life than me? What did I do wrong? Today is your 68th birthday, you might not have remembered my birthdays but your blood still runs in me, though you don't feel me, I do feel you Dad, Happy birthday, your lost child Little Sam.
