Hold These Three Ghanaians Culpable for the Looming Catastrophic Downfall of Ghana

Mon, 2 Mar 2015 Source: Adofo, Rockson

From my strenuously conducted research into the catastrophically nose-diving economic situation of Ghana, I have come to discover that three people are the principal/primary, but not the secondary, cause of it. These people at one stage or the other, in the recent socio-politico affairs of Ghana, have demonstrated characters that have grossly harmed the democratic dispensation of the nation. By their despotic attitudes toward being of service to the nation and the people of Ghana, these three individuals stand conspicuously taller on the blame stepladder than any other person in Ghana.

In order not to spend much of anyone's precious time meaninglessly, let me straightaway hit the nail right in the head. I am going to discuss how each of them has done great disservice to Ghana, resultantly contributing to the current killer or excruciating economic situation in which Ghana and Ghanaians do find themselves now.

The first person is one Dr Kwadwo Afari Gyan, the Chairman of the Electoral Commission. This man is full of himself. He is a law unto himself. He has a total disregard for anyone in the country except probably the President of Ghana, John Dramani Mahama. What has he done to be blamed for participating in the socio-economic collapse of Ghana, one may ask? The answer is not farfetched, but right beneath the nose of any discerning Ghanaian.

Kwadwo Afari Gyan, a septuagenarian nearing his grave by virtue of his advanced age, unilaterally refused to see sense when the majority of Ghanaians were advising him to the contrary, sensibly of course. Time was against the creation of new constituencies after he had dubiously created new districts throughout the country. He blatantly refused to listen to anyone, but went ahead to do as he wanted when he wanted.

At the end of election 2012, and with the subsequent Supreme Court petition filed by Nana Akufo Addo & Co, the corrupt nature (corruptibility), dishonesty and insincerity of Kwadwo Afari Gyan as a Ghanaian in a higher position became apparent or surfaced. He gave a different supposedly classical definition to "Over voting" other than as had been agreed by all parties prior to the start of the election. This happened in court when the noose was closing tighter and tighter on his neck during his cross-examination as the principal witness for the Electoral Commission and President Mahama. He again explained "biometric verification" differently.

From the live telecast of the Supreme Court proceedings, all sensible Ghanaians could see that Kwadwo Afari Gyan was lying throughout; indicating that he had helped rig the election in favour of presidential candidate John Dramani Mahama. If he had not rigged the election through the duplication and triplication of the "pink sheets", multiple serialisations of the sheets and polling station centre codes, and other collusively pre-arranged illegal methods, candidate Mahama would not have become the President of Ghana in the first place to mess up the economy of the country the way he is doing.

The second person is the Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II. He is on record, either correctly or wrongly, to have bribed some Supreme Court judges, especially Baffoe Bonnie, to twist the truth to declare Election 2012 Supreme Court verdict in favour of his buddy, then presidential candidate John Dramani Mahama.

I find it hard not to side with those who are convinced that Asantehene did dubiously intervene on behalf of John Dramani Mahama. From his attitudes before the elections, during the Supreme Court hearing on the petition filed by Nana Akufo Addo & Co, and after the declaration of the Court verdict, one can conclusively positively declare that Asantehene played an underhand role in favour of his now "yen ntie obiaa" buddy. If he had not done as most Ghanaians believe he did, we would not be sitting with an incompetent, clueless and an extremely corrupt President today. President Mahama is collapsing the economy of Ghana like a falling pack of cards through near- institutional corruption masterminded by him, his government and the NDC party gurus.

There is also one William Atuguba (JSC). He was the Presiding Judge on the panel of Supreme Court judges selected to hear and to determine the Election 2012 petition filed by Nana Akufo Addo & Co. following the obvious malpractices, commissions, omissions and irregularities associated with the election. He was seen throughout the court proceedings to be biased, unprofessional and domineering. In none of the charges brought up against the Electoral Commission was William Atuguba found to have agreed with the petitioners. He sided with Kwadwo Afari Gyan on his clearly evasive definitions for "Over voting" and "biometric verification"

The three mentioned persons are those that helped place John Dramani Mahama in the seat of the presidency. If they had not acted in the illegal manner as stated above, there was no way that John Mahama would become the President to perpetrate his unprecedented acts of harmful corruption on Ghana.

I want Ghanaians first to blame who put Mahama at the wheel before blaming the unlicensed driver (Mahama) at the wheel.

Upon all the ongoing economic hardships lethally brought to bear upon Ghanaians, Kwadwo Afari Gyan and Asantehene have still not learnt any lesson from their previous nation ruining actions. Kwadwo Afari Gyan still desires to rig Election 2016 in favour of the NDC and President Mahama by over bloating the names in the electoral register. He allowed persons to use NHIS cards as acceptable identifications to register as future eligible voters. However, the NHIS cards are issued to anyone in Ghana with intention to go to hospital, without basing its issuance on the fact of one being strictly a Ghanaian by nationality. This has given room for foreigners, e.g. Togolese, Burkinabe, Malians, etc., to register to vote in any future general elections in Ghana. This is not acceptable. Sensible Ghanaians prevailed upon him not to do that but he completely ignored them.

He did not want to implement the reforms he was advised by the Supreme Court to carry out following Election 2012 petition and verdict. The Supreme Court had to intervene or else, he would have not initiated the reforms as proposed. He considers himself far above the laws of the land. As I write, the Supreme Court has once again stopped him from carrying out the District Assembly elections on 3 March 2015. They have cancelled it until certain processes and structures have been put in place by this usual intransigent Kwadwo Afari Gyan. You can't plea bargain with evil. Kwadwo Afari Gyan is so evil that he does not wish Ghanaians and Ghana well. He only seeks his selfish interests at all time.

Finally, Asantehene, the tough skin man, has also not changed his bad nation-destroying manners. He is equally as obstinate and malevolent as his best friend John Mahama with whom he dances to a "yen ntie obiaa" rendition by Daddy Lumba. He has been meddling dubiously in Kumawu chieftaincy disputes. He has been influencing court judges to twist the truth to rule cases in his favour and in favour of his accomplices. He is further using the security agents (the police and the army) to intimidate Kumawuman people for the fact of attempting to stand up against his political incorrectness; seeking to deprive the poor and the needy of their means of livelihood – their land and money. Watch the video on YouTube titled, "Asantehene involves in corruption" to get a glimpse of how he arrogates to himself, and abuses, power.

Like father like son. The birds of the same feathers flock together. Show me your friend, and I shall tell you your character. "Ashanti Nana" and President Mahama are the same in every aspect, taking things and money that do not belong to them "nyafu nyafu" (gluttonously) hence the socio-economic collapse of Ghana.

Off I am gone, for if a bird lingers in the tree, it gets slung. However, I shall be back as I always do. Check me on Sources radio UK online this weekend, probably on Sunday 1 March 2015.
