Shito emanated from the Ga dialect, a Ghanaian dialect from Accra, the Ghanaian capital. Whereas the word for pepper is different for each of the Ghanaian native dialects shitor din, commonly called 'shito', is widely used as the name for the hot black pepper sauce ubiquitous in Ghanaian cuisine.
Shito leaves one feeling
satisfied and goes with boiled rice, yam, kenkey, eba, spring rolls, samosa and bread just to mention a few and one always is ready to come for some more with SHITO PAPAPAA! It is therefore referred to as students/household companion.
Mrs. Vida Ofori Boahene remembers vividly way back in the 80's when as a student she prepares shito for school. The aroma alone from her shito was irresistible and this was by the courtesy of her elder sister who started her primary school as a boarder and currently a caterer/teacher by profession. Sumptuous meals also run in her family as her mum always had new method of food preparation.
Then about three years ago when Mrs. Vida Ofori Boahene's daughter gained admission to the boarding school as usual shito with minced meat was prepared for her. This special homemade cuisine shito was so sumptuous one could not eat without licking her fingers! She was therefore encouraged by her niece Charity to venture into this business on a large scale. She gave it a second thought and with the help of family and friends SHITO PAPAPAA (THE BEST OF ALL SHITO) was birthed.
As a start-up business First Pick Food Ventures have as usual undergone some challenges. Supplying to supermarkets and payments being delayed. Daily increment of PET Jars/Glass Jars not forgetting ingredients from the market.
This retarded the business until March 2019 when business revived till date as the C.E.O Mrs. Vida Ofori Boahene with her background in Business Administration (Management) option was able to take the bull by it's horns.
We all know that in order to survive on the planet earth you first have to pick food and so First Pick Food Ventures have to their credit the following;
* Shito Papapaa with Meat/Chicken Flakes - Mild/Hot in Glass/PET Jars/Cans
* Crispy Fresh Gari Papapaa

By dint of hard work, First Pick Food Ventures' focus is to penetrate throughout the regions of Ghana, Africa and the world at large.
With a broad smile from the CEO Mrs. Vida Ofori Boahene she sums it all by saying "If you want a homemade cuisine, Shito Papapaa etc. are your first pick foods"
