How serious is “Kumawuhene” Barima Sarfo Tweneboa Kodua?

Thu, 24 Mar 2016 Source: Adofo, Rockson

The alleged Kumawuhene Sarfo Tweneboa Kodua never ceases to amaze me with his pretentiousness. Four days before going to court to hear his fate on whether or not he would be found guilty of contempt of court, he bragged in Kumawu saying, "If I go to court and the case is decided in my favour, I shall come back to Kumawu to show Kumawuman citizens who the owner of the land of Kumawu is"

This man is a complete puppet who is in alliance with Asantehene and his cohorts to sell the Kumawu Afram Plains lands to a foreign company for GHC2.50 per hectare per year. He is just too funny!

I am very much aware of how Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II (Kwaku Duah in private life) went to plead with, by kowtowing to, the judge, to dismiss the case of contempt of court brought against the purported Kumawuhene Barima Sarfo Tweneboa Kodua. Did he not kneel before the judge with a hand in palm saying, "Please if you rule the case in favour of the other party, they will split from Asanteman as they have threatened to, and that will bring a great catastrophe into Asanteman so please rule in favour of Dr Yaw Sarfo?"

Now, the person who has been bragging on video to be above the laws of the land with no court being capable of reversing his decisions taken, regardless of how preposterous they appear, is now on his knees begging for favour –"naniema kaden kaden"

Back to Dr Yaw Sarfo, he is understood to have visited some TV stations recently alleging that the courts have disposed of all his cases and that he has won all of them. Following that, he is now the sole Kumawuhene and that he is going to organise a grand durbar where he will invite the media and a great number of top chiefs in Ghana, including Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, his godfather and accomplice, to attend. This is complete nonsense!

Dr Yaw Sarfo has more court cases than his fraudulent gazetting and the kneeling-pleading by Asantehene can handle.

Additionally, his handful of supporters, numbering not even up to twenty, is threatening to take the teeming supporters of Barima Tweneboa Kodua V on. Whoever has been advising them to go down that road is not giving them the correct advice. They want to play with fire and if they stupidly do, I can guarantee that they will end up regretting the day they were born. If that nonsense they have dreamt of is a tactics they hope will legitimise Dr Yaw Sarfo's reign as Kumawuhene, I am afraid it will fail or be dead on the very second of its implementation.

There will be what is called action and reaction if they dare start any stupid violence. Is it Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II who once advised Dr Yaw Sarfo to be tough on the people, using intimidation to have his way who again has advised them to start violence? This former colleague Londoner will stop at nothing when pursuing his roguish attitudes.

Anyway, let the whole world know that the alleged Kumawuhene Barima Sarfo Tweneboa Kodua is tickling himself and laughing. He can condone with the registrar of the Judicial Committee of the Ashanti Regional House of Chiefs to petition the Chief Justice to help them hide the forms that Dr Yaw Sarfo filled out to become the purported Kumawuhene. Try as he does, he will not succeed, and for that I can assure him.

I wonder how Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II feels it is right to continue with his unpalatable life led in Canada and in England when he was a young man called Kwaku Duah. He is even worse now that he is the Ceremonial Head of the Ashantis than he was before in London. He thinks he can use his status to reap from where he has not sown.

As long as he is not ready to change, my only prayer to God is to not let me write about his personal life as led in Canada and in England but to discuss only his public life as Asantehene who has been abusing his position without shame.
