A headmaster of a particular secondary school in Ghana on one of his usual roll calls at night decided to visit the classrooms first before going to the dormitories for the counting.

As he started from the junior classrooms, he encouraged his students for taking extra initiative in learning more to attain excellence to bring praise to the school and then pleaded with them to get to the dormitory for a roll call.

When he got to one of the senior classrooms, he heard some hissings, kissing’s and murmurings that shocked him. He drew a little bit closer to find out what was going on and to his dismay shook his head of what he saw.

To his surprise, he saw a human being covered in white clothe humping up and down and this time panting so hard so he shouted,” who are those snakes hissing and murmuring over there in my classroom? Come out immediately” he commanded the boy and the girl.

The next morning during an assembly section, the headmaster came to announce the whole incident as it had occurred before him to the entire students and teaching staff and announced the punishment to the offended students which was a dismissal from the school that ended all efforts in getting them quality education.

Several years after coming out from the total control of my mother Diana Abboah,[a.k.a AUNTIE SISI], formerly of Koforidua Police Recruit Mess, I still remember her food for thoughts and great principle of life to my wellbeing HUMILITY,GOD FEARING AND SELF DISCIPLINE PAYS.

It was a hot Monday in Koforidua which was a market day that I remember she took me to Koforidua Central Market to buy all my stuff that I needed in order to fit into the boarding house system at Nungua Secondary School for me.

Having got all my personal needs at that time for me to pack my wooden box and metal trunk to report the next day at NUNSEC, she sat me down in the evening and advised me on how to achieve my secondary education without facing any trouble.

She reminded me of the self discipline acts that will let me be self sufficient in every aspect of life and among all her command to worship the lord thy God anytime, anywhere and in all situations.

Nodding my head to everything she was saying to me to indicate that I was accepting what she was asking me to go and practice for perfect life, gave her the power to reveal the most powerful three secrets for me to practice for success in future.

Then she looked directly into my eyes and said,” Now my son you are ready to go. When you go to school, do not erect tents in the classroom, be more patient and pray over difficult situations and lastly be more humble”.

Wanting to know and understand more about the meaning of erecting tents in classrooms, I asked my mother to explain to me what that was because classrooms are meant for studies and dormitories are for rest.

“Oh that is good my son, it means you know the answer already. I mean do not go and practice Dady and Mamy in the classrooms as it was in some schools which resulted in teenage pregnancies, unwanted abortions, dismissals and deaths” she warned me.

So fresh at Nungua Secondary School I could not understand what my mother said to me about erecting tents in classrooms because there was no where at Nungua Secondary School for one to see a tent erected in a classroom for him to find out what was going on.

Then at one of our usual assemblies, the headmistress came to address all students about reported cases of students in other schools who were caught having sexual affairs in tents in classrooms and the warning issued by ministry of education for heads to check their students from such acts.

There I said, oh mother thank you for warning me ahead. At least I was not into such practice but she gave me an insight into what might be going on so I do not fall play to it and thwart her effort of giving me quality education.

Yes I heeded to that advice and came out from Nungua Secondary School with much joy. Stood still to the resolution no marriage no baby and again when the time came for me to marry my mother threw her weight behind me.

My advice to the youth out there is that please be patient and humble thyself before your parents to give you the best training that will make you self sufficient in the rest of your life.

Remember, my mother told me to wait for the time to come and because I humbled myself before her she also used the opportunity to raise me the way expected of her and success has been achieved.

Please take this free advice from me as my mother planted them in my brains. Do not involve yourself in any criminal activity including sexual abuse, do not erect tents in your classrooms, stop drinking alcohol as a student, humble thyself before all and in all things worship the lord your God only anywhere, anytime and in all situations and he will make you great.

As I am saying thank you to my mother this occasion I am not just saying thanks for nothing but really I am showing my appreciation to her for molding my life the way it was expected therefore I owe her an appreciation. So I say thank you mother.

To the heads of institutions, please help check this acts in your schools as it is getting out of hand and producing waywardness in our suppose discipline and industrious society.

Ministers of God should condemn it in their preaching’s for parents and role models to also help in directing our younger ones into becoming future leaders for our country.
