Newly crowned WBO World super bantamweight champion, Isaac Dogboe says he is ready to retire as the youngest champion if his father/trainer Paul Dogboe decides to call it a quit.
After guiding his son to win Ghana’s eighth world title two weeks ago against then-champion Jessie Magdaleno, senior Dogboe revealed that he is ready to hand over his son to a different person.
But according to the 23-year-old hard puncher, if his dad decides to quit, he will also retire.
“My dad has always been my backbone, if my dad should retire then I believe that I have paid my dues to the nation of Ghana so I’m going to retire as a very young world champion,” Dogboe said.
Dogboe has earned a year deal with Top Rank following his impressive display against Magdaleno.
