Alhaji Mohammed Sani is unhappy with Trump's alleged racial comments
A bigwig of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) Alhaji Mohammed Sani has used unprintable words to describe the US President Donald Trump over his racial comment against Africans.
Mr Trump is quoted to have described African countries as ‘Shitholes’ during a meeting on immigration. He has denied the claims saying he is not a racist and that the words were not his exact words.
But Alhaji Sani questioned why the President of high repute would insult Africans without any provocations.
Speaking on Abusua Nkommo hosted by Austine Woode, an incensed stalwart of NDC said America needs Ghana in as much as the latter needs the former.
According to him, Ghana does not go begging for foods from US for its citizens hence cannot be treated with disdain.
He lashed out at US President for refusing to filter his words suggesting that the US Embassy located in Accra should be reduced to a consulate level.
‘…Trump is a complete idiot, he’s stupid, we will not tolerate his unguarded comments. This is the only American President who doesn’t filter his language. From John F. Kennedy to Barack Obama, there are good American Presidents who know what diplomacy is all about, and not Trump who is totally ignorant about world politics. We Ghanaians and Africans as a whole have our flaws, no two ways about that, but he cannot treat us with disdain,’ he pointed out.
Commenting on a tweet by the US Embassy, the Aspiring Ashanti Regional Chairman of NDC said the Embassy is wasting its time on attempting to control the damage caused by Mr Trump.
Ghana’s President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has condemned Mr Trump’s statement indicating that Ghana is not a ‘shithole’ country.
