Is NPP in a Dilemma Over Kwabena Agyepong & Co?

Mon, 11 May 2015 Source: Adofo, Rockson

The NPP General Secretary, Mr Kwabena Agyepong, is established without a shred of doubt to be working against the collective interests of the members of the party and that of the entire suffering Ghanaian masses. By his outrageous actions, he is known to espouse a hidden agenda that is inimical to the welfare of majority of Ghanaians. In tandem with the Chairman of NPP Paul Afoko, he is assiduously, although indirectly, spearheading the covert Agenda 2020 that is intended to scupper the chance of Nana Akufo Addo, the NPP flagbearer, ever winning election 2016.

Those behind Agenda 2020 harbour a grudge against Nana Akufo Addo, the Ghanaians' modern day personality reminiscent of biblical Joseph, for no apparent reason. As the siblings of biblical Joseph hated him for telling them the truth about his future as revealed in a dream to him by God, so do the members of Agenda 2020 detest Nana Akufo Addo for being incorruptible, dynamic, honest, and with dedication to be of service to his people and nation. However, whatever God has purposed for Ghanaians through him shall come to pass similarly as Joseph's was, provided we shall walk in the faith of God and do as I suggest about the Agenda 2020 proponents and sympathisers.

Now, NPP can be seen to be sandwiched between a rock and a hard surface. Simply put, NPP currently finds herself in a dilemma. It is obvious Kwabena Agyepong is deliberately in pursuit of his selfish agenda that has the potency to ruin any chances of NPP, and especially, Nana Addo, winning election 2016. At the same time, he threatens to expose some leaders by coming public with adverse secret information he holds against them or against the party hence NPP being in a dilemma.

No matter the magnitude of the damage the revelation of that information will cause to NPP, let us sack him from his position. A person who seeks the interest of the party and the welfare of Ghanaians will not hold them to ransom by his craftiness. If he were a Whiteman, he would have resigned by now because it is obvious many people distrust him.

If you fear to take risk, you will never succeed in life. Come what may; let us sack Kwabena Agyepong and Paul Afoko and any known Agenda 2020 member who is currently holding a position in the party from their posts. The party is not their personal property to do whatever they like when they like to it. It is a political organisation formed by individual free members who hold the right to quit the party as and when they like. Therefore, the General Secretary should not underestimate what the members can do. He may have the right to behave despotically in his home and over his wife and children but not within, and on the members of, the NPP.

Why should we continue to pay monthly dues, assist in undertakings with objective to catapult NPP to power when knowingly contrarily, Kwabena Agyepong, Paul Afoko and their Agenda 2020 schemers are tirelessly working to ensure the defeat of the party in election 2016? These are the very people taking salaries from the dues paid by the members yet, they are working against their employers. What a double slap in our face by them! They are biting the very fingers that feed them with their Dracula fangs, in contrast to the adage, "Do not bite the finger that feeds you"

While they draw salary from NPP, they are also very likely to be in the camp of NDC accepting pay or other benefits from them. If we as members do not clamour strongly for their resignation or sacking, some of us will advise ourselves. Why should we spend our precious time doing things meant for securing NPP victory in 2016, pay dues from which the saboteurs draw their salaries, when apparently, defeat stares us in the face because of the devious activities by Kwabena Agyepong and his colleagues in crime?

I have already made a strong case for their expulsion from their positions if not from the party, in my previous articles published on Ghanaweb, Modernghana and Spyghana. The following web links will take you to the said articles.

Do we want NPP to win election 2016 to save Ghanaians from further economic hardships? If yes, then let us clamour for the resignation or sacking of the enemies in the party at the party headquarters. With these people continuing to be in their positions, NPP is doomed come 2016. There are no two ways about that. Let us not have any compassion on them as long as they do not genuinely feel remorseful for hurting people's feelings by betraying the trust placed in them. If we let them off the hook today, they will gather more strength to inflict lethal damage on us come 2016. At that time, it will have become "Had I known..." to all of us.

A snake that will not bite you will not bare its fangs at you when it sees you.
