JM'S On-Going Infrastructural Projects Dazing NPP Activists

Pictures in the media of various developmental projects that President John Mahama has embarked on is dazing NPP activists particularly those who often turn to social media.

Just a few years ago, they took delight in billboards showing a few rehabilitation works that had been done by the Kufuor government. The pictures of these rehabilitated projects were dotted round the country on billboards. The billboards showed the project before they were rehabilitated and after. They were captioned as 'Then' and 'Now'.

Further, the NPP government took pride in projects like KVIPs which were often branded in the colours of the Ghana flag with the inscription HIPC PROJECT displayed on them. Some of these projects were commissioned amidst fanfare; the NPP activists made pleasant noise about them in the media.

Strangely, these activists are today unhappy about the sight of on-going developmental projects such as basic and secondary schools, universities, roads, hospitals, water treatment plants, factories, asphalted roads and railway lines being constructed by the Mahama government which NDC activists are displaying on social media.

Nana Damoah, an NPP activist, after watching in impressive video of on-going infrastructure projects in the health sector posted on facebook by Sam George Nartey replied "hmmm". This is quiet misleading." Obviously dazed, he continues "Can govt put up a website to of all projects and the costs and loans we secured to finance them?"

Another stanched NPP activists, Nana Owusu Korankyepong in his contribution wrote "This here, this that. Please, give us a break. Over 20 billion dollars used and you are showing us uncompleted projects."

From his posting, Nana Owusu wants the hospitals, schools, universities, etc to be started and completed within 24 hours!

Ruben Opoku Sakordie, obviously speechless at the sight of the ongoing projects, and in pain, could only write "mediocrity everywhere". Obviously, this young man finds the putting up of hospitals and universities mediocre while the pictures of monkeys displayed by the NPP as achievement something worth celebrating.

Another NPP activist who goes by the name Anyas Makera on facebook obviously unhappy at the sight of huge projects writes "why not discuss about corruption and dum sor?" Obviously, Anyas does not even realize that when it comes to corruption, the NPP cannot call for equity because it has no clean hands.

So dazed are the NPP activists that some have even questioned the importance of these projects while others have rather chosen to heap insults on the President since they had nothing to say.

In the meantime, NDC activists, led by the likes of Deputy Communication Minister, Felix Kwakye-Ofosu, Presidential aide, Stan Dogbe and Presidential Staffer Sam George Nartey together with the likes of Kobby Fiabge, Phreddy Plies, Dzifa Gunu, Ohenenana Krow, Abraham Fergurson and Kofi Adoli among others continue to post the numerous developmental project on social media to the delight of many Ghanaians. For them, it is proof that the President is wisely using loans contracted, that he is working hard to provide the enabling environment for every Ghanaian to flourish and that he is fulfilling his pledges to Ghanaians.
