Ex-Ghana international Joe Addo is optimistic that the Kurt Okraku led Ghana Football Association will turn things around if allowed to work.

Kurt Okraku was elected Ghana FA president in a hotly contested election in October 2019. The astute football administrator campaigned on a message of changing the game by creating wealth and restoring Ghana Football’s lost glory.

After being at the helm for the past 6 months, opinions have been pouring in about how his administration has fared.

However, Joe Addo believes it will be unfair to judge him in such a short time.

He told Joy Sports “I think it’s too early for me to judge them. They just (have) been in power for the past 6 months. And they are trying to turn things around.

Joe Addo played for Hearts of Oak and eventually held a management position at the club after retirement. He has been keenly following happenings in Ghana football and believes the change the football aficionados seek, will take time to manifest.

He is however affirmative Kurt Okraku’s leadership will turn things around.

“We haven’t played football over two years and we’ve had one leader for the past 11-12 years, so it’s a change, it will take time,” he said.

“Gradually I think they will put their print on Ghana football,” Addo concluded.
