Kevin-Prince Boateng’s disappointing loan spell with FC Barcelona officially came to an end today, 1st July 2019.
The Ghanaian international is heading back to Sassuolo as the La Liga champions have decided against making his stay permanent.
The Former AC Milan forward is reported to have said is final goodbyes to his teammates and has already emptied his locker as he prepares to return to Italy.
The 32-year-old joined the Catalan outfit in a shock move in January but ended up only playing a total 123 minutes of football.
He should be returning to the Mapei Stadium, as the Blaugrana won’t activate their €8m option to buy.
His next move could be to stay at Sassuolo where he is already a fans favorite or seek a transfer elsewhere.
