Founder of World Miracle Outreach, Dr. Lawrence Tetteh has chided men of God and individuals, linking the recent deaths at Kumasi Academy to spirituality and occultism.

He believes rather than ‘spiritualising’ the recent deaths at KUMACA, authorities consider it a wake-up call to delve deep into the issues to ascertain the actual cause and deal with the crux of the issues.

“I think there is some irresponsibility somewhere. It should rather be investigated to see the source of the problem so we can solve it instead of attributing it to spirituality.

"I believe in healing, I believe in miracles, I think I’ve been one of the longest Ghanaian preachers on TV and in the media but I can tell this from experience and from fact that it is not everything that should be attributed to spirituality, we should correct the wrong….it’s not everything that is spiritual, we come from the flesh before we go into the spiritual,” he told Ghanaweb.com.

He bemoaned the situation where ignorance and negligence is most often than not, blamed on many tragedies in the country, shelling the real issues and making room for a relapse of similar situations subsequently. He described the practice where most mishaps are linked to one spiritual connotation or the other as ridiculous and inappropriate.

“We need to be awaken as a nation and as a people. We need to inform ourselves, if we are not informed, everything becomes spiritual. Even the Bible says that faith without work is not the best so we should learn how to understand our environment and know what is spiritual and what is not".

He called on all Ghanaians to desist from politicizing issues even when there are no direct links to politics. He urged leadership and politicians to be united as unison is a key contributing factor to growth in the country.

Also my notion as a nation is that we should stop politicizing things, we’ve grown past that. Ghana is not young anymore, we are grown past 60 years. We should learn how to come together on a massive united front.. , we must learn how to be accommodating so that we don’t throw stones at each other and not build the nation. Lets learn today to come together from all walks of life”, he said.
