Koku Anyidoho's "... Unless Akufo-Addo was out of the country" r

Koku Anyidoho's "... Unless Akufo-Addo was out of the country" re-enforces Mills' Dzi wo fie Asem Concept.

Dr Kwame Nkrumah made Ghana a force to reckon with when he declared that our independence would be meaningless unless it was linked with the total liberation of the Africa Continent. These were bold, assertive and encouraging words coming from a courageous and visionary leader.

President Mills claims to be a disciple of Dr Nkrumah, but his antics, actions and utterances are a complete anathema to all that Nkrumah stood for. In short he has betrayed Nkrumah in every aspect of his ideology. It will be recalled that Peter, a disciple of Jesus had betrayed his master at a time when the latter needed him most. The same applies to Professor Mills, our President. It was the (P) NDC that overthrew the PNP, an Nkrumaist party. It was the NDC that swallowed most members of the CPP, thus sending the latter into perpetual coma. We should also not overlook the fact that the (P) NDC seized the house that was allocated to Madam Fathia Nkrumah, wife of the late Dr Nkrumah by the Acheampong regime and re-allocated it to Justice D.F.Annan, an apostle of the NDC. Oh God, it was the combined feelings of shock, ingratitude and betrayal that sent the late Madam Fathia Nkrumah to her untimely grave. How Nkrumah must be turning in his grave and blaming himself for putting his trust in President Mills, the man he thought would stick by him under all circumstances, but who ditched him!

So when we talk of a betrayal to a cause, the Nefarious and Cancerous contraption with Mills in the lead has no challenger. In Peter's case, he "resurrected" and gave a leading and pivotal role to the establishment of the Christian Church. But can we say same of President Mills?

Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, Presidential Candidate of the New Patriotic Party had made a seemingly innocuous demand of the President to state where he stood on the ECOWAS Resolution as it relates to the Ivorian crisis. Readers will recall that in his interaction with the Press, the President astounded his audience with his "Dzi wo Fie Asem" utterance. Translated literally, it means Ghanaians have no business dealing with matters that do not concern or affect them. In other words, we should concern ourselves with events within the country and not bother about events happening outside our borders.

By this new policy shift, Ghanaians have no business interacting with non Ghanaians. Thus, the banning of the country by the International Olympics Committee falls right within the framework of Mills New Foreign Policy Shift. No wonder, the Mills administration did everything to ensure that the country was banned from participating in all organized football competitions by FIFA.

The irony of the use of diplomacy is that when it mattered most for the Mills administration to use dialogue to resolve the GFA/SFO impasse, it chose the path brute force and downright "buga-buga" abrasive war tactics to show Kwesi Nyantakyi, Randy Abbey and others who wielded absolute.

You see, the Nefarious and cancerous contraption is made up of hypocrites who discourse like angels but in actual sense are snakes, sharks, vampires, vultures, hawks, bees, hyenas and rabid dogs.

Come to think of it. Were the attacks on Akufo-Addo by Koku Anyidoho, Spio Gabrah and others necessary? Obviously, not! Rather they smirk of attempts aimed at polishing/rebranding the image of the President, albeit through unnecessary harassment or intimidation. It is an acknowledged fact that the public image of the President had been greatly dented by his infamous, Dzi wo fie Asem. Thus, giant decisive steps, including aggression and blatant lies must be put in place to ensure that the image of the presidency is rebranded.

I would like to narrate a story to re-enforce the analysis I am making. At Kusi Local Authority Middle School, where I had my elementary education, we had a bully as Senior Prefect. He was called Addotey who thought he was all knowing and powerful just as our own Koku Anyidoho is portraying himself. This Addotey of a Senior Prefect could assemble Forms One to Three pupils and with the Form Fours behind him reel insults by exhibiting the disdain he had for us lesser mortals. "Forms One to Three, do you know that you are still juniors? Nonsense! Fools! You can go!” Insults. Just like that! Insults upon insults were heaped on us, the unfortunate juniors who had the misfortune of being born after Addotey's parents had seen the wisdom of making babies before ours did. I was in Form One. The situation is similar to what Koku Anyidoho and the rabid dogs within the cancerous contraption are doing to Nana Akufo-Addo and top notchers of the NPP.

But, as we all know, there is surely bound to be a day of reckoning and it came earlier than our Addotey of a bully envisaged. In the same school was a 'woman' for she was older than everybody in the school and the wrinkles on her face depicted just that. She was called Otiwaa. A publicly acclaimed dullard, she was humble enough to admit her deficiencies. That endeared her to almost everybody in the town.

The Middle School Leaving Certificate Examination (Hall) was written at Kade and Addotey left for Oda to await the results. Our school had Six Distinctions. .At the Railway Terminal, Addotey who had bought a ticket to travel and check his results at Kusi encountered Kumah, his colleague at Kusi L/A Middle School. The following conversation ensued.

Addotey: Hey, bros, I learnt our results have been released. How many Distinctions?

Kumah: Six!

Addotey: That's great! Six Distinctions! Thank God. I know I am one of them. But who are they?

Kumah : Kwame Bio, Agyemang, Sakyi, Tonko, Abu and myself.

Addotey: What! So Otiwaa has got Green Certificate and I am also going to get a Green Certificate. Take my ticket. I won’t travel again. (The implication was that Green Certificate was an Ordinary Pass, but Red Certificate indicated Distinction).

All that I have tried to do in this narration is to advise our brothers and sisters in the nefarious and cancerous contraption to please cool their heads for they cannot invent God or overthrow the world tomorrow. They should not intimidate the public with their power of incumbency because they are not sure how long their power will last. We live in a wonderful world where the unexpected can happen at any time.

Koku Anyidoho had dared Nana Akufo-Addo to state his position on the Ivorian crisis. He kept insisting that Nana Akufo Addo could not answer that simple question. But it surprises me that the bully at the Presidency should ask Akufo-Addo to answer a question which has already been answered. Akufo Addo answered the question when he asked the President to state his stance on the ECOWAS Resolution on the Ivorian Crisis.

Koku's inability to decipher the answer from Akufo Addo's statements reminds me of joke we shared as students in the early seventies. Those were the days when we prepared for examinations by memorizing notes. It was called "chew and pour". We called it 'baba' in our school. A student had memorized notes on "Forest" but when he got to the examination hall the question asked him to write short notes on the lion. He started like this. "The lion is an animal that lives in the forest..." Then he continued with what he has memorized about the forest. Clever, one might say! But did the answer make him pass?

If the Head of a whole Communications Outfit at the Presidency could not decipher a simple answer from Akufo Addo’s statement on the Ivorian crisis, then I am afraid we have a crisis at hand and the earlier the President reshuffled or disbanded the entire outfit at the Castle, the better it would be for his own image and that of the country.

Nana's question to Mills was very simple. Tell us where you stand, Mr. President? Do you stand by ECOWAS Resolution or not? And if you do, is your "Dzi wo fie Asem" mantra not in contradiction with ECOWAS Resolution? Very Simple! There was no threat of sending Ghanaian soldiers to be butchered in Cote d"Ivoire. Period! Shikina!!

Nowhere has Akufo Addo stated that Ghanaian soldiers should be sent to be killed in Cote d'Ivoire as is being alleged by the likes of Koku Anyidoho and his "think - alikes". If Koku Anyidoho claims to be a Communications expert as he would like the rest of us to believe, he should have realized from Akufo-Addo's statement that he (Akufo-Addo) stands by ECOWAS Resolution which is the use of peaceful means to resolve the impasse. The use of legitimate force would only come in as a last resort, and we have not exhausted all the peaceful means at our disposal yet.

Now see the confusion the Head of Communications at the Presidency has embroiled himself in. Does the decision to abide by the Resolution mean he should immediately send Ghanaian soldiers to be slaughtered in Cote d 'Ivoire?

Is Koku Anyidoho suggesting that Ghanaian soldiers are not capable of defending themselves when they come under attack? By his summary conclusion, Koku Anyidoho has not only lowered but killed the morale of the personnel in the Ghana Armed Forces. If after spending millions and opepepeepee on our armed forces, a novice on military matters could just write off the capabilities of our gallant men and women when we are not even in a war situation, then I am sorry for this country. Why not allow military men to handle military issues while he, the so-called expert on communications handles matters within his jurisdiction. But the fact of the matter is that Koku Anyidoho has been a failure in his "domain” and definitely will be a failure on military matters. The fact that his father was at one time a Commander of the Ghana Army does not make him an expert there.

When Koku challenged Nana to be man enough and state what action he would have taken on the Ivorian Election stalemate if he were the President of Ghana, I realized that the man didn’t know what he was talking about. The question was not relevant because Nana Akufo Addo is not the President of the country. If Nana were the President, he would not take any unilateral decision without consulting the military hierarchy.

The propaganda that Koku Anyidoho and the rest are engaging in by alleging that Akufo-Addo as President would send Ghanaian soldiers to be butchered in Cote d' Ivoire would rather endanger the lives of Ghanaian resident in that country. By their insinuation they are suggesting that the Ivorian soldiers are "animals" who will have no qualms slaughtering innocent and law abiding Ghanaian citizens. This will anger the Ivorian soldiers into unleashing the venom that had accumulated in them as a result of that insinuation.

I am glad to hear from "Mr. Know-All" (Koku Anyidoho) acknowledging that he is indeed an infant who is desperately in need of being tutored by a much more experienced personality of Akufo Addo's pedigree. Because of his lack of experience on foreign matters, he found it extremely difficult to grasp the salient points in Akufo Addo's statement. Let me repeat for the avoidance of doubt that Akufo-Addo answered Koku Anyidoho's question brilliantly and it is only a novice or amateur communications expert of Koku Anyidoho's calibre that will exhibit his shallow mindedness by suggesting that Akufo-Addo could not answer that simple question. It is only people like Koku Anyidoho and others who perhaps blinded by selfish and mischievous motive that will find fault with Akufo-Addo's response. Conceding the fact that he was mischievous in his condemnation of Akufo Addo is the only way that will exculpate Koku Anyidoho from being branded an ignoramus.

You see, human memory is very short and the changing fortunes of men sometimes blind them from seeing things the way they really are. Today, the Koku Anyidohos, the Spio Gabrahs, the Kobby Acheampongs, the Okudzeto Ablakwas, the inusa Fuseinis, the Allotey Jacobs, the Agyenim Boatengs, the Omane Boamahs and others have exhibited their gross moral turpitude by reminding us that it is not right to use legitimate means to right some wrong doings or injustice. Have they forgotten that after the 2008 Presidential Run Off, they gave that reckless incitement to their foot soldiers to storm the office of the Electoral Commission with bows, arrows, stones, sticks, catapults, hammers, cudgels, machetes, dane guns to ensure that the Electoral Commission declared the result in their favour? Were they aware of the dangers they were exposing their foot soldiers to when they gave that reckless command? What would have happened if Kufuor had responded in a similar provocative manner by ordering the soldiers to gun down innocent Ghanaians who were just obeying the dictates of men they thought they could trust, but who are actually wolves in sheep clothing as latter events were to reveal? .

Koku Anyidoho makes mockery of the Communication outfit at the Presidency of which he is the Head. At the same time he exhibited his shallow mindedness and ignorance when he stated at Asempa FM that Mills position on the Ivorian crisis has never been in doubt. He stated this has been expressed in the papers and on radio and unless Akufo Addo was not in the country, or has not been reading the papers and listening to radio, he would have known that Mills has continued to support ECOWAS Resolution.

Hey, my brothers and sisters, does Koku Anyidoho want to tell us that if Akufo-Addo was not in the country, he would not know the happenings within the country? And this is coming from the Head of Communications at the Presidency! Is he not aware that the world is now a global village and that events happening within and outside one’s immediate environment are seen and known the moment that they occur? How such a statement could come from somebody who has arrogated to himself the title of "bully" and best communication expert in the country is something that should baffle everybody including even the admirers of the President. Koku’s utterance makes me doubt his competence in his assigned portfolio. Why should we be saddled with such incompetence from the Head of an outfit which is supposed to project the image of the presidency in the best possible light?

Oh why, Koku? Why didn’t you seek advice from Mahama Ayariga the man you were alleged to have been instrumental in his removal from the Castle? You see how you have publicly exhibited your ignorance?

And yet, almost on daily basis, we continue to spend "opepepeepee" on Koku Anyidoho and his moribund communications outfit all in their vain effortsto rebrand the presidency and make it appear clean whilst it is rotten deep down. You see Koku Anyidoho wanted to portray Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo in a very bad light but ended up exhibiting his ignorance. Se oguan se obesee abonten so a osee ne duah ho. (If the sheep wants to spoil the street, it ends up spoiling its tail.

But are you surprised? You shouldn’t for the statement goes a long way to re-emphasize the President' mantra of "Dzi wo fie Asem". Total black out! Dum so, dum so. We are groping in darkness.

With the re-election of Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, the cleansing mission of the country has started. Embrace the ideals and tenets of Vision 2012 and you would have done your self and your children, grand and great grandchildren a patriotic duty.
