“A High Court in Accra on Thursday dismissed a suit filed by a former Justice of the Supreme Court, Francis Yaonasu Kpegah against 2012 flagbearer for the New Patriotic Party, Nana Akufo-Addo. The former judge, who failed to show up in court the last time the case was called, had claimed Nana Akufo Addo is holding himself out as a lawyer when evidence available to him proves otherwise” (Ghanaweb May 2, 2013).

They have demonized him for years

Demonized by the Kpegahs

Of restless, panicky Volta

Of the NDC-Volta

Of the tycoons of “tribalism”

Of the kingpins of mischief

Akufo-Addo has been demonized

The Kpegahs of NDC have said it all

But, but

They never say he is a thief

That Akufo-Addo is a thief

They never say he is a “stealer”

They never say he is corrupt

They never say he is a pen-armed robber

They never say he lives for free in our bungalow

So let all celebrate Nana

Ah! Nana Akufo-Addo

Nana Oh! Ah! Nana

Let them drown in the Volta

Let the Kpegahs drown

Drown in the restless Volta

With their debris of demonizing

What will Kpegah drown

In the restless Volta

Of NDC’s organized chaos

Of their dirges of mischief

Of sad expenditure of mischief

The Volta made restless

Restless and cresting

With inchoate flows

In chorused flows

Of fetishizing false canons

Of assembling mischief

Of hostaging simplisms

The inchoate flow

Of the Kpegahs

Of the Awonoors

Of the Bokors

The inchoate flow

Bearing gifts of anti-Akanism

They said and said

The Kpegahs of NDC

They have said and said

They have chorused all

They have chorused all

That Akufo-Addo is a fraud

That Akufo-Addo is an “urinator”

That Akufo-Addo is anti-Islam

That Akufo-Addo is a woman

That Akufo-Addo is not an Akyem

That Akufo-Addo is not an Akuapem

That Akufo-Addo is not a Ghanaian

That Akufo-Addo lacks classmates

That Akufo-Addo’s initials was not WAD

What is next

What will Kpegah drown

What will he drown in the Volta

Kpegah the aging 37 bat

The bat in government house

The embroidered bat

The bat who never built a hut

Not in Alavanyo

Not in Accra

Like 37 bat

Hanging upside down

His rear-end to the world

What will Kpegah drown

In the restless Volta

Of NDC’s organized chaos

Of their dirges of mischief

Of sad expenditure of mischief

The Volta made restless

Restless and cresting

With inchoate flows

In chorused flows

Of fetishizing false canons

Of assembling mischief

Of hostaging simplisms

The inchoate flow

Of the Kpegahs

Of the Awonoors

Of the Bokors

The inchoate flow

Bearing gifts of anti-Akanism

So let all celebrate Nana

Ah! Nana Akufo-Addo

Nana Oh! Ah! Nana

Let them drown in the Volta

Let the Kpegahs drown

With their debris of demonizing

Drown in the restless, panicky Volta
