Indeed, things are happening in Ghana in general and in the elephant colony in particular.
In Ghana, it is quite obvious that President Atta Mills is committed to building a Better Ghana and with the very positive early steps that he is taking, I have no doubt that come four years, Ghanaians will go to the polls and renew the mandate of the Asomdwehene to build an even Better Ghana.
While we are concentrating on the Better Ghana agenda, things are happening within the narcotics peddlers party.
There is a lot of confusion within the narcotics peddlers party and the fight between John Agyekum Kofi Diawuo “50 Cents” Kufuor and the Nana “kapwepwe” Akufo-Addo is not about to abate.
The war is on between the Ashanti faction and the Akyem mafia and even the sea cannot quench the blazing inferno.
Nana Biakoye is saying it for a fact that John “50 Cents” Kufuor is not about to allow the “kapwepwe” to get a second bite of the cherry.
It was quite clear that “50 Cents” did not want the “kapwepwe” to lead the party last year but under circumstances beyond his (50 Cent’s) control, he had no option but to pretend to be in support of the “kapwepwe”.
Indeed, it is not a secret that “50 Cents” did support the “kapwepwe” 100%.
While pretending in the open to be supporting the “kapwepwe”, on the quiet, Ataa Ayi K4 and his Ashanti cabal worked against the “kapwepwe”.
Well, the war is on and “50 Cents” is using his kickback and cocaine wealth to have his way in the narcotics peddlers party.
Yes, “50 Cents” is buying his way in the party.
I am sure you must have heard that Peter Mac Manu has made it public that he will not seek reelection as the National Chairman of the narcotics peddlers party.
On the surface, it seems he took the decision because he led the party into opposition.
Well, that is just the surface of the matter.
Beneath that veneer, is the true story of how John Agyekum Kofi Diawuo “50 Cents” Kufuor, has used 5 billion cedis out of his cocaine and kickback wealth to bribe Mac Manu to step aside.
Nana Biakoye has run my checks from deep inside the belly of the elephant and I can confirm that some money has indeed changed hands.
Nana Biakoye can say it for a fact that Mac Manu is stepping aside with a very handsome End of Service Benefit (ESB).
“50 Cents” is doing everything possible to pave the way for his “poodle” Stephen Ntim, to become Chairman of the narcotics peddlers party.
The whole idea is to pave the way for either Allan “Cash” Kyeremanteng or Isaac Osei (one-time High Commissioner to U.K and former boss of COCOBOD), to become the flagbearer of the party.
“50 Cents” Kufor and his Ashanti cabal have vowed that the Akyem “kapwepwe” will maintain his position as flagbearer over their dead bodies.
Indeed, if Mac Manu had not collected the money and stepped aside, he would have been beaten in the contest and so it makes sense that he collected his ESB and agreed to step aside.
Talking about John Agyekum Kofi Diawuo “50 Cents” Kufuor and his money, I hear that the man is filthy rich.
With holiday mansions in Morocco and the Caribbean, as well as fat bank accounts in Switzerland and the Cayman Island, “50 Cents” is a damn rich person.
People say that it is only the late Omar Bongo and Mubarak (the Egyptian President) are the only African President’s who have more money than “50 Cents” Kufuor.
That is how rich the man is.
And with that kind of money, he can buy his way in the narcotics peddlers party.
After all, one of the NPP’s philosophy is; vote buying.
I am sure we remember how at their congress to elect the “chief thief” (apologies to General Mosquito), moneys flowed “waa waa waa” and how one of Allan Cash’s cashmen, Paul Afoko, was almost lynched when the Lord Commey and the Nana ‘kapwepwe” Akufo-Addo faction found him (Afoko) distributing dollars to delegates.
They believe in vote buying and so with the kind of cash that “50 Cents” has, he can have his way.
I pity Dan Botwe and co who supported Mac Manu against Stephen Ntim.
I pity them because they had their way the last time around and won against “50 Cents” but this time around, I don’t think they will be able to withstand the financial might of the third richest President in Africa.
Indeed, if Mac Manu has already fallen to the financial might of “50 Cents”, then it tells you the extent to which “50 Cent’s” money power is powering him to make his poodle, Stephen Ntim the party Chairman and in the process take control of the party.
Akufo-Addo’s political days are numbered and John Agyekum Kofi Diawuo “50 Cents” Kufuor is leaving no stone unturned in his bid to nail the political coffin of the “Kapwepwe”.
