DVLA project is funded from 1million 1constituency fund. The money is supposed to start n complete a new project by the guidelines but not to renovate or complete uncompleted projected. As a legislature what influenced him to break the law.
Moreover, the cost of the project is hugely problematic cost the existing structure have seen less structural changes considering an amount of 3.4 billion old GH CEDI's involved in the renovation.
DVLA has outsourced and privatised the roadworthy aspect of their responsibilities, given that the project is wholly private per the arrangement of DVLA who only set standards to the private investor, the big question is; how come public funds is used to renovate private interest project? Who is this private investor because the building in question under renovation is a public building invested in the people of Kumawu of which it used to house District Education Directorate until Dr Doffour facilitated new office complex for them.
We are being shortchanged and the people of Kumawu demand answers from the Member of Parliament who stood before the people and said on record that he's spearheading the construction of DVLA. He must come clear and clean for we are in to support government agenda not to smartly profit unduly from it.
Honestly, we were made to understand that that driver's license would be issued and renewed at the 3.4 billion office under renovation and work to start last year June but aside the shady and shoddy deal allegedly found in the process and the execution of the project, the office is not going to give out license and renewed license. This is deception at the greatest level. Our District hospital is left crying for the continuation of which our MP has never been seen making a statement on it on the floor of Parliament yet he tells us he's working on it. Braonwam side of the constituency who originally billed to benefit from the K3 project did not benefit as we speak and our MP failed to make a statement on the floor of Parliament.
Work is there to do and all eyes must be on Kumawu constituency to for us to take our rightful place. Kumawu, is made up of strong men with enviable tradition and we must rise to defend our dear constituency. The 5.2 billion old CEDI'sgiven to MPs under 1m 1c must properly be accounted for.
